Things To Do

We're so excited to share some highlights that Seattle and Issaquah have to offer! The parks, nature, and hiking are some of the best on sunny days. There are plenty of sightseeing options in downtown, but looking beyond we have a few favorite spots to enjoy for the weekend. Reach out if you need any other suggestions or recommendations!

Green Lake Park

7201 East Green Lake Drive North, Seattle, WA 98115

For those willing to venture to north Seattle, this is a beautiful walking path around the lake with restaurants and breweries at different points around the lake. Caitie's lived near here for the past 7 years. Walk up to the Tangletown neighborhood for pubs, breweries, and one of the best dive bars, Leny's (where we met!)

Gas Works Park

2101 North Northlake Way, Seattle, WA 98103

A classic park that you've likely seen to advertise Seattle! This is a great park for downtown skyline views and then accessible to visit some nearby breweries via the Burke-Gilman trail if you feel up for walking, or our preferred method of scootering! Fremont Brewing or Gas Works Brewing are two favorites.

Luther Burbank Park

2040 84th Avenue Southeast, Mercer Island, WA 98040

One of our first dates where I (Caitie) got to meet Cooper for the first time! A great park with trails, dog parks, and small beaches to view Lake Washington.

The Golf Club at Newcastle

15500 Six Penny Lane, Newcastle, WA 98059

Providing one of the best views of Seattle on a clear day! There is a driving range along with a putting course, Rusty Putter, that is open to first-come. Enjoy lunch or a beverage at the Grill!

Lake Sammamish State Park

2010 Northwest Sammamish Road, Issaquah, WA 98027

A nice open state park area with trails, beach, and picnic area to enjoy a nice Seattle day! Requires a $10 day pass.

Formula Brewing

1875 Northwest Poplar Way, Issaquah, WA 98027

One of Quinn's favorites! Stop in to grab a glass!

Poo Poo Point Trailhead

11400 Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast, Issaquah, WA 98027

A popular trailhead nearby! Many visitors head up and watch paragliders take off from the top.

Snoqualmie Falls

Snoqualmie, WA 98024

A scenic view of the falls with accessible walking trails nearby.

No Boat Brewing Company

35214 Southeast Center Street, Snoqualmie, WA 98065

A brewery Caitie used to frequent with friends in Snoqualmie... a great place to relax after a hike!

Rattlesnake Ledge Trailhead

Snoqualmie Valley Trail, North Bend, WA 98045

A well-maintained, popular trail with a nice ledge to relax on at the top. A park / lake at the bottom also have some trails and areas to relax on a nice weekend.

Other hiking options

Washington has some of the best hiking areas and vistas that make any hike well worth the effort. The Washington Trails Association has lots to search by and can make recommendations that fit your goals!
