It was New Year’s Day, 2015, and Cait and Luke sidled up to the bar at a Mexican restaurant in Columbus to watch Ohio State in the first-ever college football playoffs. Megan, Luke’s good friend, may or may not have gotten the conversation started, but by the end of the night, the Buckeyes were headed to the national championship, and Luke had Cait’s number scribbled on the back of her grad school business card.
