What and Where is the venue?

Blackstone Rivers Ranch in Idaho Springs, Colorado is located on the Rocky Mountain Front Range and is perfectly situated just 35 minutes west of Denver.

Why Blackstone Rivers Ranch?

Answer

We fell in love in the Colorado Mountains and we want to share our love for the Rockies with everyone!

WILL THE RECEPTION AND CEREMONY BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

Answer

The Cocktail hour, the Ceremony and the Reception are all located outside. The Ceremony is fully outside while the Reception is underneath a heated tent.

DO I GET A 'PLUS ONE'?

Answer

Your RSVP card will show whether a plus one is granted. We would love to invite anyone and everyone, however, we are limited to capacity. Thank you for understanding!

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to our limitations with capacity, only a small number of kids are invited which will be known on the invitation. Thank you for your understanding!

While our venue might seem to be out in the boonies, there are many nearby options listed on our 'Lodging' page

HOW LATE CAN WE PARTY WITH THE GROOM AND BRIDE?

Answer

We have the venue until 11pm, so stay as long as you please. :)

WILL THERE BE ANY TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS FOR GUESTS BETWEEN HOTELS AND VENUES?

Answer

Yes! We will have a shuttle service that will accommodate guests to and from their hotel(s) and the venue.

I'M VISITING FROM OUT OF STATE, WHAT'S THE WEATHER TYPICALLY LIKE?

Answer

Idaho Springs, Colorado in early October is typically sunny with a gentle breeze because we are high up in altitude!

IS THERE A COCKTAIL HOUR?

Answer

Yes! Cocktail hour will follow right after the ceremony while the bride and groom take family photos.

WILL THERE BE OPEN BAR?

Answer

Duh! We will hold an open bar, but feel free to bring cash to tip the bartenders.
