After eight blissful years of being an only child, Trajan joined the family. Tyler wasn't ready for that, and their relationship got off to a rocky start. At least until Tyler decided baby Trajan was cute. Growing up eight years older than your next sibling doesn't really mean you get to "play" together, but these boys are definitely making up for it now!

Long before the littlest Cain sister arrived, it was just Laycee and Miranda. Too close in age to think she was cute and adorable, and too young to be "cool", Miranda and Laycee were the sisters who always fought, played too rough, and worked HARD to get each other in trouble.

Kludt and Tyler go way back. They've been best friends since high school, and their mutual love for music, basketball, and German shorthaired pointers are just a few favorite conversation topics. He's been around since the beginning, and as a couple, Miranda and Tyler are thankful to EACH find a close and loyal friend in Alex.

A college classmate turned project partner turned best friends. Christin and Miranda met in college at the University of Sioux Falls. Bonds over coffee, wine, and deep conversation keep them close.

What started as a working relationship in college production projects morphed to mutual respect and appreciation for Evan and Miranda. While one of Miranda AND Tyler's dearest friends today, Miranda still laughs that Tyler initially disliked Evan and his man-bun.
Samantha Whitley

Just a couple of nerds in college would end up being dorm roommates and then STAY friends even after living close together. Maybe it's that Samantha is always up for a spontaneous night out, or that a cozy Target-run and mud mask night is a perfect substitute that keep Miranda and Samantha close. Plus, she's known Tyler since the very beginning. Oh the stories we WON'T let her tell!

If there was ever a man who had a heart too big, it might be Connor Majerus. Nobody knows what his frown looks like, he's always up for an adventure, and keeps the drinks flowing. Connor and Tyler find joy in the simple things, and always seem to pick up right where they left off.

Kaitlynn had a front row seat to the proposal (thank you for being our Denver tour guide and engagement photographer!) and in a strange way distance has brought her and MIRANDA closer as friends. While many relationships fade away after a big move, they’ve grown closer. Kaitlynn asks hard questions, intently listens, and boldly shares.

Life has its ways to putting people in your life because you need them or they need you. Originally a family friend to the Cain's, Chris's child-like spirit is the perfect match to Tyler's boyish sense of humor. Just ask them to use their old time-y voices for you...you'll wish we never told you about them!

As if the constant need for puppy snuggles wasn't enough, now he's in our wedding too?! Atlas made a bold entrance into Miranda and Tyler’s little family and now more than ever, he's their best friend. And just like his "dad", Atlas is totally a momma's boy so it only made sense for him to be the crowd-pleasing Bride's Pup. *Please note, Atlas will join us all weekend. He LOVES people, and especially children. While he is exceptionally gentle and careful especially around children, he is still a high-energy dog and likes to play.

John, or "Hozzie" and Tyler have been friends since high school, became roommates for a while and even worked at Taco Bell together for a while! We'll save some of those stories for later. They bond over movie quotes, dad jokes and the occasional game of Halo.

As the next oldest sibling on the Basye side of the family, Rianne and Tyler weren't always close. Usually he was off being a butt-head and they really didn't hang out. More recently Tyler and Rianne have discovered similar tastes in music, books, and movies. They might be a tighter brother-sister combo than they lead on!

Not all family members become your friends. In this case, as cousins, Brock and Tyler have been the dynamic-duo of dumb since the very beginning. Whether it be shrimp in the shower, wheely-s, or dumb jokes, putting these two in the same room somehow leads to mischief every time!

While she might be a little big to be "in his pocket" now, Reese and Tyler have always been two peas in a pod. Since Miranda became a Kansas City Chief's fan and asked Reese to be a bridesmaid, there's been some stark competition for who she likes more. ;) I guess we'll let the crowd decide.

As the 3rd sibling in the Basye family (Tyler, Rianne, Dane), Dane might be considered the quiet one, but only because everyone else is so loud! Tyler still hopes Dane stops getting taller so not all his siblings out grow him...we hate to break it to him...but time is running out for that!

Everyone needs a friend who has chill when there is no chill. Tobaria, or T as we like to call him, is a go-with-the-flow kind of guy. A perfect pair to the easy going demeanor of Tyler. When the two aren't chatting up if basketball is better than football, they're hanging out with T's son, Ryan.

We call him a friend now, mostly because he put up with Miranda's sister, Laycee, for so many years ;) Jared is our soon-to-be brother-in-law and engaged to marry Laycee in 2021!

We like to consider Lilly the evil mastermind of the Basye family. She's a sweet, quiet little girl who suddenly asks things like "can I cut off your finger" when you tell her that she can't have your engagement ring. Careful, we THINK it's only flowers she's throwing, but you can never be too sure with this one!

Consider Rivers the 8-year-old version of the 28-year-old Tyler! They're two peas in a pod who love sports, talk too fast, and might not think things all the way through.

Perhaps an under celebrated role to the bride, to be Miranda's attendant, Elizabeth is a saint. Really though, it's PERFECT. Elizabeth went to high school with Tyler and his friends, and then moved on to college where Miranda and Elizabeth met. She is strong, confidant, and loud. EXACTLY what Miranda asked for to keep this rowdy bunch in line. More than "just an attendant" Elizabeth is essential to helping our day flow, so if you get the chance to see/meet her, PLEASE be sure to tell her how thankful we are.

The way in which Jenny came into our lives and continued to refine her role to us has been a story in and of it self. Our lives crossed in multiple ways, and at the bottom of it all, we're grateful and humbled to have her perform our wedding ceremony. We love her for her authenticity, passion, and grit and we've given her permission to put ALL of it into our ceremony. Buckle up, because she will be an officiant to remember!
