Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve
Take a drive over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in to the San Luis Valley to check out the tallest sand dune in the United States! Hike the dunes, cool off in Medano Creek, or try sandboarding! We do recommend visiting early in the day as the sand will get hot in the afternoon.
