WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

We ask that everyone wear semi-formal/cocktail attire (cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and jackets and slacks.) We want everyone to be comfortable!

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we have only saved a spot for you.

ARE KIDS ALLOWED?

Answer

Your little ones are cute, they really are, but this wedding is adults only so enjoy the open bar!

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE OPEN BAR?

Answer

The venue only allows beer and wine. No liquor is allowed on the premises. However, you can expect local craft beer, must have domestics, and white and red wine.

WHAT’S FOR DINNER?

Answer

We’ll be serving up delicious BBQ from Grate Catering. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions!

WHERE CAN I STAY IF I AM COMING FROM OUT OF TOWN?

Answer

We have a room block at the Hilton Garden Inn by Concord Mills. You can book a room using the link on the Travel Page. The hotel is about 20 minutes away from the venue. There are also a lot of AirBnB and VRBO’s in the area.

WILL YOU HAVE TRANSPORTATION FROM THE HOTEL?

Answer

Yes! We have a 25 person shuttle bus that will take guests from the hotel to the venue at 4pm. The shuttle will start return service to the hotel starting at 9:30pm with last return trip leaving the venue at 11pm.

WHERE WILL THE CEREMONY & RECEPTION BE HELD?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Farmstead. The ceremony will be held outside under a pavilion and the reception will take place in the barn adjacent to the ceremony pavilion.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

Answer

Parking attendants will be located outside of the venue to assist with parking. Cars are not allowed to be left overnight and will be towed at the owners expense.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS/VIDEOS AND POST TO SOCIAL MEDIA?

Answer

The ceremony will be unplugged to allow our amazing photographer to take photos. Once the ceremony is over we encourage guests to take pictures and post onto their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #bygeorgehegother so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

HOW ARE YOU HANDLING COVID-19?

Answer

We understand we are in the midst of a pandemic and not everyone will be comfortable gathering together. We will keep everyone updated as things unfold and will take every precaution necessary to ensure our wedding is safe. As of right now, we are moving forward in full planning mode for August 21st!
