A Match Made in Heaven

Vincent and Samantha’s love story feels like a match made in heaven- not just because of the initial “match” on the dating app they met on, but because of an invisible string that tied them together, long before their paths even crossed. Vincent asked Samantha out and she quickly penciled him in for a weeknight date. It was a Wednesday to be exact, and it just so happened to be the day before her birthday. The couple chatted over drinks at a neighborhood spot. What started out as nervous sips between the initial “Getting to Know You” questions, ended up being a date that lasted almost three hours. The two couldn't seem to run out of things to talk about. Quickly, they realized that they had a lot in common. Both lived in Midtown, loved going on walks, had similar music tastes, and shared a love for Old Florida. The next morning, eager to make plans for another date, Vincent was the first person to wish Samantha a happy birthday. Even from that small gesture, Samantha knew she had found a good one. After a few months of dating, the two started to meet each other's friends and family. On Samantha's first meeting with Vincent's grandmother, the two struck up a conversation about growing up in Miami. It didn't take them long to realize they grew up in very similar neighborhoods, siting similar landmarks that were key to both of their childhoods. Eventually, they realized they probably lived in the same neighborhood, and after a little back and forth verification, they discovered something wild… Samantha and Vincent’s grandmother Arvinda didn’t just live in the same neighborhood growing up- they grew up in the same home. 5714 SW 33rd Street, Miami, FL 33155. By this time, Vincent and Samantha were already invested in each other, but this strange, cosmic connection made it feel like fate had really brought them together. Samantha often reminisces about her two grandmothers and likes to think this connection was a wink from heaven from the two of them. In more ways than one, Vincent and Samantha's love story feels like an unbelievable gift from above. A true match made in heaven. They are each other’s best friends, and one, true love. After a year and two months of dating, Vincent proposed to Samantha at the Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It was the first trip as a couple to visit Arkansas, Samantha’s home state. She created a detailed schedule for their trip, but when some plans changed, they were left with a free day to fill. Not thinking anything of it, Samantha was quickly eager to accept Vincent’s suggestion of visiting Hot Springs. After some good advice from Samantha’s mom, Vincent quickly knew that the chapel in the woods would be the place that would start their forever. Samantha’s parents were there to witness, and the couple quickly Facetimed Vincent’s parents to share the news right after. In high school, Samantha had always joked that she would get married at the Anthony Chapel one day. Vince’s philosophy? “Well, I’m not sure if that’s still what she wants, but at least she will get engaged here!” Since Hot Springs felt like a last-minute addition to their fully planned out schedule, Samantha was utterly shocked when Vincent pulled out the ring and asked her to marry him. But to her surprise, it was part of the plan all along. They feel incredibly lucky to have found each other in this big old world, and don’t take a second with each other for granted. They are so excited for their future together and look forward to sharing their special day with you.
