Although we adore children, this will be a kid-free event. For visitors traveling from out of town, we will be happy to recommend a potential sitter.
Unfortunately we are limited in capacity and money so we can't extend any additional plus ones at this time.
Guests should wear cocktail attire.
Sacramento in May is usually in the mid 80's but cools down at night (thanks to the Delta Breeze)! The reception is inside but you may want to prepare for it to be cooler. Fun Fact: there are plenty of weather websites and apps to check for more detailed weather info!
The ceremony will be starting promptly at 5pm, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early. We will update you if anything changes.
By plane, train, or automobile. By Plane: The easiest way is to fly into Sacramento Intl Airport (SMF). It's about a 15 minute drive from downtown Sacramento and the venue. Ride share or taxis are readily available or you could rent a car from the airport. By Train: Amtrak travels directly into downtown Sacramento. Check out their website for rates and more details. By Car: Drive to Sacramento. If you are unsure, use GPS. BEWARE: Drivers are crazy here, that is not an understatement. Drivers routinely run red lights and do not merge correctly. It is a pain in the butt. That is why Rachel drives the way she does.
For wedding events and getting to and from the airport, most likely not. Ride share is readily available throughout the city. However, if you want to explore and do any day trips, renting a car is a good option. While the areas for wedding activities are fairly condensed, a lot of Sacramento can only be easily seen if you do have a car.
Unfortunately, no. But there is a wide range of coffee shops, restaurants, and convenience stores within walking distance. We recommend Cafeteria 15L for a sit down breakfast/ brunch. For coffee shops there is Goodside coffee, Cora coffee, and a Starbucks about 4 blocks away.
There is limited street parking with a time limit of 1 hour at a time. There are two parking garages within a few blocks. Our recommendation is Memorial Garage located on H St between 14th and 15th. The other parking garage option is 1331 I St. Visit https://www.cityofsacramento.gov/public-works/parking to learn more about what to expect at these garages.
