If you have a little extra time during your visit, we highly recommend exploring downtown Hastings! It’s such a charming area in the fall. You can browse unique boutiques and antique shops, stop for coffee at a cozy café, or enjoy the gorgeous fall colors while biking or walking along the scenic trails.
Afton Apple Orchard
Afton Apple Orchard is a local favorite! You can pick your own apples, wander through the pumpkin patch, try the corn maze, or sip on fresh apple cider while taking in the beautiful autumn scenery. It’s the perfect cozy spot to enjoy the season before or after the wedding!
Vermillion Falls Park
Take a little break from the hustle and explore Vermillion Falls Park! This scenic spot is perfect for a stroll along the walking trail and, of course, a quick stop to admire the beautiful waterfall. A peaceful little escape to stretch your legs and soak in some nature.

Mall of America®
You can’t come to Minnesota without checking out the Mall of America, which is still the best mall in America (if you ask any Minnesotan 😉). It’s actually the second-largest mall in the country, packed with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and plenty of entertainment. You’ll also find the Nickelodeon Universe Amusement Park, SEA LIFE Aquarium, and The Fair on 4, where you can race go-karts, throw axes, and grab a drink or two!
