We met working together in the Radiology department at VCU Health. While we met working together in the reading room, it wasn't until we started rock climbing at the climbing gym together that we really got to know each other and build a relationship. Our first date (unrelated to the climbing gym or dinner afterwards) was a trivia night at Vasen Brewing Company.

We started our evening having dinner at The Lobby Bar in the Quirk hotel, one of our favorite date night locations. Then we went to drive around the city and look at Christmas lights. Finally we went to our favorite dessert place in the city, Shyndigz, to get cake and finish off our date night. When we walked into the tent with our dessert there was a table in the back decorated with fairy lights, champagne, and a cake that read "Caroline, will you marry me?" Of course the answer was, "Yes!"
