Maid of Honor
We roomed blind at Michigan State our freshman year. After attending our first college house party (and probably getting tipsy off of two natty lights), we've been inseparable ever since. Angela also helped me craft almost every text message I sent Cody when we first started talking, so we can thank her for this wedding actually happening.
Bridesmaid
Although I grew up having the best big brother I could ask for, I always wondered what it would be like to have a sister. Enter, Liza Burton. As many of you know, Liza is my sister-in-law and now mother to my niece, who is the cutest tiny human you've ever seen. Liza is also a kick-butt lawyer and former D1 athlete, so yes, she's pretty awesome.
Bridesmaid
Molly is the life of every party, which is why I'm proud to call her my cousin. We've known each other since diapers, and I'm pretty sure one of us gave the other chicken pox. Becky and Julie can confirm. One of the most "Molly" moments I can think of is when we were in Nashville for Liza's bachelorette party and we tried to walk through the McDonald's drive-through at 3am. Hint: McDonald's does NOT serve you if you're not in a car. Lesson learned.
Bridesmaid
Jordan and I, or Jay as those close to her like to call her, have been friends since our nerdy high school years and grew even closer during our time at MSU. We've attending upwards of 50 tailgates and football games together, which almost all included a shot of fireball. Jay is always there for her friends, especially when food or late night snacks are involved.
Bridesmaid
Tessa, my sweet little Disney loving princess. Tessa and I's story began in high school and continued at Michigan State. She is one of the most caring and supportive friends a girl could ask for. And while Tessa is a mother to two adorable kiddos, she sure knows how to release her inner MSU party abilities.
Bridesmaid
Aly and I have been friends since high school. She's the life of any party and the type of gal who will make any occasion festive. She has the best eye for detail and the most infectious personality. If she wasn't a bridesmaid in my wedding, I would have hired her to be the planner!
Best Man
Like most younger brothers, Austin was antagonizing and wanted to do everything I did. We played hockey, soccer, and lacrosse and loved being outside. Today he isn't as antagonizing and doing something completely different than me. Instead of following my footsteps in Engineering, Austin decided to go to medical school (and will hopefully pay for our kids' education someday).
Groomsman
Jesse and I both went to Western Michigan University, but we never really got to know each other until after college. Knowing our personalities this was probably for the best. Jesse and I joke probably too much and come up with ridiculous "What if" scenario's. Not only is Jesse my friend and groomsman, he's also my landlord.
Groomsman
Shane has several nicknames and I don't think he likes any of them. If you know Shaner Boy you know he's a bit of a quiet guy, but when he gets a few drinks in him he turns into Hurricane Shane. I never knew I'd be a Wisconsin Badger fan, but thanks to Shane I'm the biggest Sconnie bandwagon fan out there. We lived together in college for one year and that was enough to know he would be a life long friend of mine.
Groomsman
I have never met someone so active and distracted, yet can sleep at any given moment. Drake would be skateboarding one minute and the next he's sleeping face down on the couch. In high school, Drake and I spent most of our time biking and playing hockey. Lucky for me, he moved to Utah so MacK and I have a good reason to head out west every now and then.
Groomsman
Being an older brother, I've always had to set a good example and be a good role model. Gaining Taylor as a brother-in-law, I'm excited to now have someone to look up to and ask for advice. Taylor is a born leader, co-founder of a startup company and the best salesman I've ever met. I'm lucky and proud to call him my brother.
Groomsman
Sam and I lived on the same dorm floor our freshman year at Western Michigan University. One day he walked in to my room to introduce himself. After several hours and Coors Lights later, I knew I had gained a life long friend. He’s been my ride or die engineering buddy and I can always count on him for hours of laughs, a good golf game and a fun day on the slopes.
