No action is required from travelers at this point and currently visas are not required for travel to Spain. ETIAS visas are expected to go into effect in late 2025/2026 and apply to any non EU- citizens. Most rental companies require an international drivers license (IDL). Some will allow you to rent without an IDL by simply not asking if you have one. However, you can get one at Triple A offices in 15 minutes very easily. If you do rent, we recommend Sixt in Barcelona Barceloneta location.
We are providing buses to and from Barcelona downtown & Barcelona airport on Friday and Sunday. Bus schedules were confirmed based on responses to the Google Form. Please text Lauren ASAP if your plans have changed since you responded so we can plan for the correct bus capacities.
We will be arriving in Barcelona on 6/17 to sight see with friends & family for a few days prior to the wedding. We would love to have all our loved ones join us. Uber is new to Barcelona and not widely available. We recommend downloading the FreeNow Taxi app to order taxis like in the Uber app. Link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/freenow-taxi-and-more/id357852748 There are also taxi stands. You can find them by googling “taxi” on google maps.
