Bays Mountain Park & Planetarium

853 Bays Mountain Park Road, Kingsport, TN 37660

Bays Mountain is a staple to the area. It serves as not only a wild life rehabilitation, but houses animals unfit for the wild, and also has a newly remodeled planetarium. Entrance fee to the park is very small with an additional fee due to take part in planetarium and barge ride. There are many walking paths, most are paved, winding through the woods, with animal exhibits along the way. This is a prime place to go to experience beautiful Tennessee fall. The drive out to the park will take you well off the beaten path, but follow GPS and signs and you will not regret it. Please be aware, this is a weather contingent activity, as you will drive to the top of the mountain to the park; check park schedule or call before going.
