Operation Burkett

It all began with a swipe in January 2022. Jacob and Hannah met in classic Gen Z style—on a dating app, where Jacob misspelled Hannah’s name in his first message. After some playful teasing, Hannah agreed to give him a chance to redeem himself. Eventually, they got together for their first date, where Hannah managed to keep Jacob out past his usual “old man” bedtime of 10:30 pm, chatting late into the night over a tub of cookies n’ cream ice cream. After a few dates, Jacob knew he had to ask her out after being impressed by her “talent” at bowling—particularly her ability to get the ball in the gutter every time. Since then, they have supported each other through their milestone events, explored the world together, and loved each other from over 6,500 miles apart. They are excited to start their next chapter together in Okinawa, Japan after the wedding. They are so thankful for all their family, friends, neighbors, and community of support systems to join them in celebrating their next step together. Thank you for being a part of their story.
