We matched on Bumble (a dating app) in the summer of 2019. By design of the app, I could not message her, she had to start the conversation. Well, she didn't message me in the 24 hour window and so the match expired. That could have been the end of the story (and obviously her biggest mistake ever) but luckily there is more to the tale. A month or so later, I was given the opportunity to re-match with her. I remembered being disappointed that our match had expired so I gave it another shot and 20 hours later the match was about to expire again... Hoping that she would come to her senses, I gave it one last try and used my one, 24 hour extension and luckily, this time she sent me a message. Our conversation back and forth was natural and "breezy" (ask Katlin what that means) and we agreed there was enough chemistry to at least grab drinks. The only problem was that I was just about to leave on a family trip for a week and a half. Thankfully she was patient and we finally met face to face just over two weeks from our first messages. From that point forward we found ourselves occupying more and more of each others time and more and more of each others hearts. Hahaha it's so sappy but true. Anyway, yada yada yada we bought a house together and moved in, got a dog (and now a cat) survived a pandemic, a snowpocalypse and got engaged. Our life (and the world) have been pretty crazy since we met but we are still constantly laughing, goofing around and finding new adventures. We don't know what the future will bring but we are excited to kick off the start of our marriage celebrating with all of you.
