Matron of Honor
Erica doesn’t remember a day without Krystle and Krystle barely remembers a day without Erica. Being only 16 months apart, Mum would often dress them similar and people would ask how old are your twins. There is always a smirk on dad’s face when he says his response was “4 and 5”. As adults, their bond has only become stronger and enjoy the little moments like sitting in the beach, being on the slopes or even in the gym (not sure Krystle agrees that is “fun” yet). Krystle made Erica an Auntie 14 years ago when Addison Erica was born and again 11 years ago when Mr Jack was born. Being an Auntie to those two is one of the best jobs Erica has ever had. She admires her big sister for her strength, conviction and faith. Krystle and Erica have had every life journey side-by-side, through the ups, downs and everything in between. Erica is blessed to have her big sister once again by her side on her day.
Best Man
Michael “Stu” Whitmore has been one of the most consistent, loyal, and inspiring parts of my life for over two decades. They first crossed paths at Middle school in the band room, where both Stu & Thom found their passion for playing drums & performing. Marching percussion & performing eventually brought them together to the Boston Crusaders, where they spent five years touring the country, playing to thousands of fans & pushing each other to our limits, and building a bond that would last long after the tour buses stopped rolling. Both Stu & Thom ended their drum corps careers as drum major for our beloved Boston Crusaders. From the late-night rehearsals to the long bus rides, Stu was always there with a smile, a joke, or a well-timed sarcastic remark to lighten the mood when the road got tough. Those years shaped us, both as musicians and as friends, and it was clear early on that Stu’s relentless drive, and unshakable loyalty were qualities I could always count on. Our journey didn’t end when we aged out of DCI; instead, it took us into golf matches, jamming, and then into the world of music once again with JB5. The energy, the memories, and the brotherhood we created together on that stage are some of the most special moments of my life. Through all of it- Stu has been there, supporting and pushing me forward, reminding me that true friendship is built not just on shared passions, but on the unspoken understanding that no matter what, we’ve got each other’s backs.
Bridesmaid
Erica and Danielle met on the bus in 3rd grade. Erica had just moved to Maine. Danielle remembers the 3 braids in her hair and she was about to have a new baby brother. And from that day and until now, Dauielle and Epica have a bond that’s hard to describe. Their esp-like moments just make them smile from ear to ear. They have shared the emotional times of breaks-up and make-ups. The thrills of game winning shots and sudden death overtime losses. Every embrace since their first hug is a feeling of love, warmth and feels like home. D is selfless and the first to ask how you are doing, even if she had the worst or the best day. Erica is so grateful for Danielle’s unconditional love and friendship over the years and especially grateful for her being with her during these extra special moments.
Groomsman
Ryan Martin is the human equivalent of a confetti cannon at a wedding—loud, unexpected, and usually the reason the cleanup crew has to work overtime. We’ve been great friends for over 20 years, which means we’ve shared enough ridiculous moments to fill an entire season of a reality TV show. Like the time we decided it was a good idea to take a quick spin on the ATVs at midnight, in a rain storm, after a few pops—only for Ryan’s machine quitting half way thru the trail, having to leave it in the middle of the woods & drive home on the roads @2am back to Douglas Ave….we were too busy laughing to care. Through all the dumb stunts, questionable decisions, and wild adventures, we’ve somehow survived as lifelong friends. Whether it’s convincing ourselves that karaoke in a dive bar at 1 a.m. is a “life-affirming experience,” yelling “Rascal Flats” so loud it cleared the two rows of seats in front of us at the concert, or sneaking onto the roof on Douglas Ave to jump into the pool, Ryan has always been there to drag me into the chaos. And despite all the messes we’ve made, both literal and figurative, I wouldn’t trade a single moment..life wouldn’t be nearly as fun without Ryan—he’s the kind of guy who can turn anything into a party, make you laugh for hours, and for that, I’m eternally grateful.
Bridesmaid
Kristen and Erica met in 6th grade. Kristen was the quiet new girl and Erica remembered how that felt. They became buds on the reading big bean bags and every day since, their friendship was/is just easy! They have shared the love of field hockey and even played against one another in college. Once adulthood arrived, they even became roomies for a few years. Their time living on Atlantic Ave became just like “Friends” when the Gagnon boys (Chandler and Ross) lived next door. Kristen and Erica’s friendship has never wavered and has been nothing but easy, reliable and fun. Always looking for the next race, the next fitness challenge, they geek out on nutrition and fitness hacks and follow/idolize the celebrity racers. Erica is fortunate to have such a wonderful confidant and supportive bestie through the years.
Groomsman
“Emery” is the kind of guy who’s been serving others for most of his life. As a proud member of the U.S. Air Force, he’s dedicated himself to protecting and serving our country, all while carrying a sense of duty and humility that makes you grateful to know him. We’ve been friends for over 15 years, and in that time, we’ve had some pretty epic times together on the golf course, mountain biking, and many ski trips to the loaf & Kingfield. Shaun is always game to push through the challenges—But when it comes to his passion for trail running, Shaun truly takes things to the next level, tearing through the woods in his Five Finger running shoes—because if you’re going to run like a mountain goat, you might as well look the part. What really sets Shaun apart, though, is his ability to listen. He may not always have the perfect answers to life’s endless questions, but he’s always there to hear you out without judgment. That’s the kind of friend he is—So, when he asked me to be a groomsman in his wedding this past October, it was an absolute honor. Watching him marry the incredible Dora was a moment I’ll never forget, and it truly felt like the culmination of years of friendship, laughter, and shared memories. In a world full of constant change, knowing that someone like Shaun is out there—whether running trails, telling stories, or just being a good friend—makes life feel a little more grounded.
