Reminders for Traveling Internationally

PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHECK IF YOUR PASSPORT HAS EXPIRED AS THE U.S. HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING PASSPORT DELAYS WHICH CAN TAKE UP TO 10-13 WEEKS. PASSPORTS MUST BE MORE THAN 6 MONTHS VALID UPON DATE OF ENTRY OR YOU WILL BE DENIED ENTRY TO ITALY. (MUST BE VALID UNTIL AT LEAST APRIL 1, 2025)

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Due to the limited capacity at our venue, we would love to fill the seats of those who unfortunately cannot make it. If you will not will not be able to attend, please email Donna by April 20th at buonannowedding@gmail.com or through Zola.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing buonannowedding@gmail.com.

What costs am I expected to cover?

Answer

We understand that destination weddings can be expensive, so we will do anything we can to mitigate the costs of the trip. Each guest should be expected to cover the cost of their flight and their accommodations.

When should I book by?

Answer

Our booking deadline is May 5th, but it is always best to book early since there is limited availability in our room blocks. We recommend you make your room deposit as soon as you get the invitation, but at the minimum, book at least 6 months ahead so we can plan our wedding accordingly.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into Florence (Amerigo Vespucci Airport: FLR). Just to note, there are NO nonstop flights from the US to Florence. You will need to connect somewhere in the EU/Italy. For those of you who would like to fly non-stop to/from Italy, we recommend flying in/out of Rome: FCO for the best fares, availability, and flight times. To get from Rome to Florence, taking the high-speed rail is the most efficient and least expensive method. Please contact Devin if you need assistance booking the high-speed train.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family & friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting cocktail attire but please wear whatever you are most comfortable in. It may also be a good idea to pack a shawl or light sweater as the evenings might be chilly! The average temperature in Florence on a typical day in mid October ranges from a high of 70°F to a low of 52°F. Some would describe it as mildly cool with a gentle breeze, so be sure to pack layers!

What should I bring?

Answer

To travel, you will need your passport, boarding passes, and information for your hotel reservations. It is also a good idea to bring Euro. You will also need to bring your wedding day attire, attire for the wedding-related events, and casual clothes. We recommend bringing comfortable shoes for the wedding since the streets of Florence are not paved. Travel plug adapters will also be required. Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.

Do I need to bring a gift?

Answer

Gifts are not expected. You making the trip to celebrate our wedding is a gift in itself - we can't wait to celebrate with you!
