How We Met

Pasta brings people together.

It was late winter 2017, and healthy lifestyle resolutions made in the New Year hadn't yet lost their sustainability, but Gina was in need of a reprieve from her life of discipline and stevia. Armed with only Yelp and a need for pasta, and still fairly new to the West End of Richmond, she searched for the best Italian restaurants in Henrico. This led her to the website for Casa Italiana, which led her to the page about the restaurant's owners -- and when Gina saw Kristi's picture, she was instantly smitten (and reminded of a more lesbian Brienne of Tarth, but that's more of a side note than anything else). We won't bore you with the details of that first meeting, as the usually bubbly and effervescent Gina was reduced to a timid mute in front of a woman who was, by all accounts, her dream girl (see above Game of Thrones reference), but there was what the youths would call some *definite vibing* and Gina's friends made fun of her mercilessly for it. That visit led to another; the second visit led to a burger date... and it's been a whirlwind of smiles, kisses and insane levels of compatibility ever since.
