Maid of Honor
Amanda and I have been best friends since 14. She's more like a sister and already Maid of Honor of the year. Amanda is brilliant, super fun and hilarious. She will be the reason I make it to my wedding on-time. Please be advised to make space when Knuck If You Buck comes on! Amanda lives in NY.
Robert Person
Best Man
Robert and I met during our C.S. undergraduate studies at Howard University in 2008. He was one of the smartest engineering students in the department and I was a young whippersnapper who didn't know anything. Naturally we clicked. I've experienced some tough times and Robert has ALWAYS been there for me. One of the things I love about Robert is his humility. It's something I've always thought was really special about him. He's accomplished a lot in his life thus far, but doesn't allow this truth to negatively impact his perspective on the world and the relationships with the people in his life. He lives in Seattle, WA with his beautiful wife, Alma.
Brittany Clark

Britt and I first met at our first job post-college. She's also to blame for planting the seed that I might like the west coast life. Britt is my fashion fraternal twin (same-same but different). Britt is super chill (like moi) and I will appreciate her calming energy on our big day! Brittany lives in SF.
Marvin Charles

Marvin is known for his immaculate sense of style and billion dollar smile. I've had to explicitly request that he not accidentally show me up in his Tux at the wedding. lol We met during an internship at Goldman Sachs in 2009. I was a know-it-all and he was more reserved and observant. As we've become friends over the years, I've lost count how many times he's said the phrase: "Howard, chill man." lol We've had a lot of good times together, joining the same GS analyst class after college and paddling on a corporate Dragon boat team for 2 consecutive years. One of the things I love about Marvin is his integrity about work, relationships and life in general. He doesn't compromise his moral code under any circumstance. I've always looked up to him in this way. Marvin lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Tonya Noble

Tonya saved my life by encouraging me to move to Oakland and not die of boredom in Modesto, CA. We then became carpool buddies for nearly 4 years. Tonya is so cheerful, hilariously sarcastic and always down for a good time. She will bring the positive vibes to the wedding weekend. Tonya lives in NY.
Caitlin Chrisman

Caitlin was one of the first friends I made when I moved back to California in 2016. We met through a mutual friend and hit it off immediately because we’re both a little extreme and a tad obnoxious about the importance of fitness/exercising. Caitlin is the kind of person that just makes the people around her better through accountability and inspiration. She's a "no excuses" kind of person (she coached me to qualify for the Boston marathon). One of the things I love about Caitlin is her growth mind-set and desire to squeeze as many experiences as possible into life. She lives in Mountain View, CA with her adorable fiancé, Peter.
Dayo Adefulu

Dayo and I were in the same section at B-school. We quickly bonded while rolling our eyes at our eager beaver classmates and then lived our best lives together for 3 months in Paris. Dayo is witty and no-nonsense. She will make sure we come correct at the traditional wedding! Dayo lives in Lagos.
Stanley Onyimba

Stanley in many ways is the epitome of tough. He's a God-fearing, smart, alpha-type, Igbo Nigerian. You for sure want him on your team. We first met at a "Young Professionals" Bible study during my time in NY in 2010. If I recall correctly, we didn't necessarily rub each other the right way initially. I was (some argue still am) super opinionated/arrogant and he was super proud/intimidating. So naturally, we later became roommates, lol. Stanley has also been a huge source of help and support during challenging times of my life and has always reminded me to keep my head up and to never give up. That's actually one of the things I really love about him. His zeal towards anything he values is a force to be reckoned with. Stanley lives in Oakland, CA with his lovely wife, Brittany.
Lello Gebisa

Lello and I spent every weekend of our intern summer together - walking around SF trying to spot black people. It was quite the challenge. Lello is incredibly sweet, generous and is incapable of saying a negative thing about anyone. Lello will be the most likely to cry at the wedding ceremony. She lives in Chicago.
Rory Scott

Rory and I have the kind of friendship that, though has been forged relatively recently, feels like it has existed a lot longer. I met him in 2017 through Bukky, shortly after I moved to Oakland. When Bukky introduced us, I told him confidently: "we are going to be friends, drink scotch together and play poker quarterly." And we have, lol. Rory is super dependable, encouraging and wise. I often seek his perspective and opinions because he is very intentional and thoughtful. One of the things I love about him is how he lives his life with a sense of urgency and goal orientation. It's refreshing. Rory lives in Oakland, CA with his charming wife, Tashana.
Tyler Saas

Tyler and I also met at the NY "Young Professionals" Bible study mentioned above in 2010. We both had identical perspectives on work, family, religion and politics so we hit it off immediately. Tyler is extremely dedicated, practical and able to sustain a high level of grit. He sets life milestones and makes the changes in his marriage, career and habits to reach them. That mentality probably also has alot to do with the fact that he's a competitive runner, cyclist and swimmer (with more than a few Iron Man races under his belt.) One of the things that I love about Tyler is his high pain tolerance (both figuratively and literally). He's not a quitter. Tyler lives in Manchester, NH with his exotic wife Darbi (inside joke don't worry, lol).
Clinton Townsend

I was introduced to Clint by Bukky in 2017 at a Warriors game, and I must say that he is one of the most interesting people I've ever met. He's complex in that he has a wide variety of interests, perspectives, communication styles, goals, etc, none of which fit in any form of a "box" that at-least I'm aware of. lol. Clint is a renaissance man. If you ask him how his weekend was, he may reply: "Well, I sailed my boat across the SF Bay, I remodeled my bathroom while listening to 1960s Jazz music and then I hosted a dinner party where I served a 4 course meal to friends. One of the things I love about Clint is how much of an out-the-box thinker he is. He has had a ton of amazing experiences, so he challenges me to never limit myself when thinking about life goals. Clint lives in SF.
