July in Riviera Maya is beautifully tropical. You can expect warm temperatures in the 85–90°F range, and light coastal breezes around 7 mph. In other words: it will feel like summer vacation — sunny, bright, and balmy. ☀️ Hydration is your friend, lightweight fabrics are a great idea, and we promise the ocean breeze helps! For peace of mind, it has not rained on our wedding date in the past five years. That said, if there happens to be significant rain, the ceremony and celebration will be smoothly moved indoors. Either way, we’ll be celebrating together — just possibly with a roof overhead.
We've described our wedding dress code as "Semi Formal Beach Attire" -- which *does* sound a little bit like an oxymoron (lol). In short: think a step above casual, but still beach-appropriate. We’re aiming to avoid shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, and other very casual cotton pieces — and instead lean into elevated, breezy, vacation-chic. For women: light and airy dresses, below-the-knee or slip dresses, or a polished top and skirt are all great options! Wedges, flats, or dressy sandals are perfect. (Kindly consider leaving stilettos at home — there will be sand for the wedding ceremony) For men: linen or seersucker suits, slacks with a collared shirt, or a guayabera for a tropical touch. Suit jackets and ties are absolutely not required. It will be warm (hello, 85–90° July sunshine ☀️) and the ceremony will take place on a beach inlet, so please dress stylishly and sensibly. If you look wedding-ready but can still enjoy an ocean breeze comfortably, you’ve nailed it.
Yes — we’re making a whole weekend of it ✨ Welcome Party Friday, July 10 | 6:00–9:00 PM Join us for a relaxed evening to kick things off! We’ll have a buffet dinner and drinks waiting for you. Attire is casual — break out the flip flops, breezy dresses, and yes, this is the appropriate moment for that loud Hawaiian shirt. After-Party Saturday, July 11 | Immediately following the reception @ 10:00 p.m. When the wedding festivities wrap up, we’re not quite done yet. We’ll be continuing the celebration informally at Club Heaven Bar & Disco, just steps from the Hard Rock Hotel lobby. All adults are welcome to come dance the night away with us. We can’t wait to celebrate with you from start to finish.
We’re fortunate to be celebrating at a venue that allows for a flexible guest count. All adult guests have been invited either with their partner (named on the invitation) or with a “plus one.” If your invitation includes "and Guest", we kindly ask that you include your guest’s full name when you RSVP so we can plan seating accordingly.
Yes — you’re welcome to bring another adult guest in their place. We simply ask that you provide their first and last name when submitting your RSVP so we can update our seating plans.
While we adore your little ones, our wedding celebration will be adults-only. The Hard Rock Riviera Maya is a family-friendly resort. Private evening childcare can be arranged through the resort’s guest services team, and the resort also offers complimentary daytime childcare (9:00 AM–5:00 PM) for children ages 4 and up. You can find more details about these services on the resort’s website: https://hotel.hardrock.com/riviera-maya/hacienda-adults-and-kids.aspx
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the bride or groom—about anything at all. Truly, no question is too small, awkward, or “rude,” and you won’t put us on the spot. We would far rather answer your questions or talk through any concerns than have decisions made based on uncertainty or assumptions.
