Maid of Honor
Marcey and Sara first met as roommates in 2007 - Marcey convinced Sara to move to South Boston 5 years ago and they've never looked back since! Even though Marcey, her husband Mat and Sara's puppy nephew Milo have moved home to Reno - facetime and weekend trips keeps it feeling like they are still only a few blocks away.
Best Man
Best friend from college, James "JB" Nelson, and I spent our most formative years together. We learned from each other and made each other better. From our times in NY to the Netherlands to Ireland, no matter where we are we always have a great time when we get together like no time has passed by.
Bridesmaid
Kali and Sara first met soon after Kali relocated from Florida to Boston - on Newbury St as employees of BBVC. Their friendship started with beers at the Pour House and weekly Jersey Shore viewing parties and has grown into a framily that will last a lifetime. Even though Kali has moved on from Boston - "Uncle Kali" is just a phone call away.
Groomsman
One of my closest and oldest friends, Steve has always been by my side in good times and in bad. Growing up going to Yankees games together and playing with all the new games we received the day after Christmas are some of the best memories I have. Even though we've spent years apart living in different places, our bond never wavered.
Bridesmaid
Jennine and Sara met at vet school in Ithaca - bonding over their love of black Labradors and commiserating over on call shifts and studying for boards. Even though Jennine (newlywed to Mike) lives in Buffalo - the two still make sure all the pups get together each year to rekindle their friendship!
Groomsman
With a similar sense of humor, Chris always likes to push the boundaries. Making memories as high school aged cashiers and pool hall aficionados, Chris and I grew up together. Later on in life, he was by my side during trying times to play a round of smash bros. and watch movies.
Bridesmaid
Tricia and Sara first met when Sara was a "pre-frosh" recruit for the Williams swim team. Sara was in awe of Tricia's work ethic, love of fun and caring attitude (which earned her the title of Mother Goose aka MOG aka POG aka The Slammer). Tricia's journey has taken her from Williamstown to NYC to CT to NYC to London to Taiwan and now back to Deerfield MA and Sara has loved visiting her in all of her locations!
Groomsman
Joe the BEST. What more needs to be said? Joe was always the one who took care of all of us and kept us in line. Many vacations and Caribbean cruises later, Joe and Mike became inseparable. Although miles have kept them physically apart throughout the years, they still find many ways to make memories.
Bridesmaid
Laura is Sara's cousin - who's friendship started young with dress up parties in Gram's basement and generally being "wisihiggens" together. Laura is credited for Mike and Sara meeting as during "pillow talk" over Christmas one year - Laura convinced her to download Hinge after finding her wonderful (soon to be husband) Ross through the app!
Groomsman
Bryan and Mike were the original frenemies in middle school but soon became fast friends. Basement gatherings in their parents' houses plus countless Tony Hawk runs cemented what would become everlasting friendship.
Bridesmaid
Jenna - sister of the groom, is so excited to finally have a sister of her own. Throughout the many years of teasing and playful banter, Jenna has always took it in stride and grew up to be a lovely person.
Groomsman
Better known as Santa, he has always been a rock solid friend with great stories to boot. Ever the romantic and lover of all things Italian, he is a great dinner guest or concert partner.
Bridesmaid
Melissa - Cousin of the groom, grew up together with Michael throughout their childhood years. They bonded over re-enacting scenes from Mario Bros, with Michael (Mario) saving Melissa (Princess Peach) from evil Bowser all the while avoiding all the treacherous lava. Always providing sage wisdom during the college years, Melissa played an important role in Michael's life.
Groomsman
Chris, always a stand up guy, has been a great supporter of mine. Now that we live close to one another we are so lucky to be able to see him and his family more regularly. Chris also wins the award of best turkey carver at Friendsgiving.
Bridesmaid
Val - Sara's sister in law, came into her life when she started dating Sara's brother Matt at Holy Cross during the time period when Sara confusingly was 7 years old for 4 years straight. Sara immediately emulated Val, and in an interesting turn of events named her first personal pet - a Goldfish after Val. Matt and Val are parents of Abby, Alicia and Sean!
Groomsman
Matt is Sara's eldest brother - he's a fun loving, often up to no good father of 3 wonderful kiddos (Abby, Alicia and Sean). We're hoping he graces our wedding with his signature dance move - the Jack-in-the-Box and can't wait to have him involved in our special day!
Bridesmaid
Sara and her sister-in-law Kelly share a deep love of country music - but disagree on who is "the best" (ZBB for life!). She has her hands full corralling the 3 boisterous Buckley boys which she does with elegance and grace! We are so excited to have Kelly (Mike and their boys) be a part of our big day!
Groomsman
Mike is Sara's older brother. Former Marine, The Buck is father to 3 boisterous young ring bearers James, Chip and Freddie. Mike and his family live in Manhattan and he can often be found helping the boys construct the newest Lego!
Junior Bridesmaid
Abby is Sara's eldest niece (daughter of Matt and Val) - born July 29, 2006 marking Sara's worst sunburn to date which has forever branded her as Auntie Lobster. Abby is a phenomenal Ice Hockey Goalie and can't wait to be a Junior Bridesmaid!
Junior Bridesmaid
Olivia is one of Michael's younger cousins yet is more mature than most people. She can strike up a conversation with anyone and also quickly contribute to any group discussion that's happening. She is very excited to be part of this wonderful group of people and be a junior bridesmaid.
Flower Girl
Alicia - Sara's first god child (daughter of Matt and Val) has been a fashionista from a young age. She is very excited about her special dress and has been very helpful giving Auntie Sasa suggestions on her own dress. If you're lucky, you might get a twirl out of her in her special dress on the big day!
Flower Girl
Bellamy - Sara's honorary niece (Daughter of Lauren and Christopher - better known as Lolo and Scooter) has been a fan of her "Auntie's" Shenanigans since she was a wee little infant who appeared to come out 90% legs. Bellamy's love of life and to die for curls will light up any room and she is looking forward to her special dress for the big day!
Ring Bearer
Although Sara's nephew Sean is much older (and taller) than in his picture - his love of dogs is still strong! Sean is an avid Lego engineer and recently has found mid 90s video games (frogger!). Sean is the most experienced Ring Bearer and can't wait to help guide the rest of the Ring Security Squad down the aisle.
Ring Bearer
Sara's nephew James (eldest son of Mike and Kelly) - is an avid Lego builder and recently has been protecting their building in Manhattan from Ghosts as the newest member of the Ghostbusters. James has been practicing his "Ring Security" duties and can't wait to walk/run down the aisle!
Ring Bearer
Charles (Chip) Buckley (son of Kelly and Mike) loves to play music - regularly strumming us a tune on his guitar. He also is an avid cleaner and has been known to serve us a meal from his "food truck".
Ring Bearer
Baby Freddie is Sara's youngest nephew (and soon to be godson). He can't wait to show off his newly acquired running skills getting down the aisle next year!
