La Aurora International Airport

Guest coming from abroad will need to arrive on Thursday, February 19, 2026 to La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City. There are many flight options available. The closest non-stop flight will fly from Newark International Airport leaving at approximately 6:30 PM and arriving around 11:00. Guests can also fly out of Philadelphia but will have a layover normally in Florida, Texas, or Atlanta.

Travel Note

Guatemala Immigration Form

Guatemala has a virtual immigration form that you must fill out to enter and exit the country. At the end of the form be sure to screen shot or download the form and QR cade that it generates for you. You'll need to show it to an employee in the airport when exiting baggage claim. There is an option to switch the form to English and you can complete it on your phone or computer.

After arriving on Thursday, everyone will spend one night in Guatemala City before leaving for the amusement park. Please stay at this hotel February 19 -20 so the bus can pick everyone up in one location. Book at the link here!

Bus to Irtra!

February 20, 2026 8:00 am

A bus will arrive at the Holiday Inn, Friday, February 20th at 7:30 AM. Please be downstairs between 7:30 and 7:45 to load luggage and grab a seat. The bus will leave promptly at 8:00 AM for the ride to amusement park. There will be coolers on the bus. Everyone is welcome to bring snacks and drinks, but the bus will also make stops every hour or so. This ride takes approximately 6 hours but can be faster or slower. We expect to arrive right around check-in time.

Los Hostales Del IRTRA

Guests traveling from abroad will be staying in Hotel Palajunoj at Irtra. Each room has two double beds and a private bathroom. Rooms cost about $150 per night. There are restaurants, pools, and a spa within walking distance. Brynne will make reservations once all RSVPs are finalized. Room reservations at Irtra will be from Friday, February 20 - Monday, February 23rd.

Bus to Guatemala City

February 23, 2026 9:00 am

Bus will head back to Guatemala City at 9:00 AM. Please be outside and ready to go at 8:30 AM to load bags. The ride back to the city is typically shorter. If possible with everyone's flights, the bus will stop in Antigua for lunch before heading into the city.

Guests can fly back to the United States Monday night, February 23 or anytime after. If anyone would like to stay longer in Guatemala, we recommend making plans to visit Lake Atitlan, Antigua, or El Paredon beach. We hope everyone has an amazing visit to Guatemala!
