We first crossed paths during our freshman year at Vassar, but it wasn’t until the start of sophomore year that our relationship blossomed. We were in multiple classes together, and, after deciding to make a study group with our friend Adam, quickly found ourselves spending more time together - even outside of the Blodgett Hall STATA lab. What started as an academic agreement soon grew into something deeper as our friendship naturally turned into a relationship. (Brynn still feels bad about lying to Adam as our relationship evolved…) As we returned for the spring, we realized we wanted to be with each other and soon started dating. Our first date was at a nearby donut shop - our dessert of choice ;). Little did we know a dainty pastry tasting would mark the beginning of the rest of our lives! Together we navigated Brynn’s study abroad in Germany, a global pandemic, and two years of long-distance dating (of which, only 30 days were spent together - thanks for the free Ubers Aunt Amy & Uncle Tom). After blowing through our lifetime stock of SkyMiles, Ryan moved down to Atlanta where we could now make money from rather than lose money to Delta. #KeepClimbing It was during our second year in Atlanta that Ryan began planning for one of the most important moments of our journey: the engagement. He knew it had to be a surprise, but finding the right moment wasn’t easy with us already living together. After a quick consultation with Brynn’s Mom (thanks again!!) Ryan met Brynn at the end of one of Brynn’s long runs while training for the Chicago marathon, and we started our (then) favorite day together! Now, as we prepare to share our most special moment, and new favorite day, surrounded by the people we love most, we’re reminded of all the moments and people that led to this lifetime together. We can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes us!
