The wedding of

Robbie and Brynn met in Portland in 2020. Brynn met Lauren (co-maid of honor) in 2019 at work and they became close throughout the Covid pandemic. Lauren and her now husband Matt (our Officiant!) introduced Brynn and Robbie at a Lake Day at the Johnson's family house, about a week before she was headed home to MN while navigating the Pandemic. Robbie is best friends with Trevor (Best Man and Matt's younger brother). Lauren had to warn Robbie, Trevor, and the rest of the gang to "not act weird as Lauren doesn't bring friends around very often". (We now see where "not acting weird" has gotten us, thanks for the advice Lauren! -Robbie). That day, like every day with our friends was perfect. Brynn spent a couple of months at home in MN and then moved back to Portland in 2021. Robbie and Brynn spent the next year as friends hanging out with our wonderful friend group in Portland and our favorite spot, Hood Canal. Robbie and Brynn thought they may like each other more than friends, and wanted to see what it would be like to go on a date, with no friends in attendance- and things were cemented from there. A couple weeks after officially dating, Robbie got a job up in Seattle and the two of them decided to date long distance. It took about 6 months of this new arrangement for them to be sick of being apart and after a year of dating Brynn moved up to Seattle. Brynn and Robbie have called Seattle home ever since. Labor Day weekend of 2024, Robbie, Brynn & Matt were vacationing at the Hunt house at Hood Canal. Robbie was acting very weird and Brynn kept asking both Robbie and Matt what was wrong. The three of them went down to the water for the day and Robbie walked down the beach for a while, then asked Brynn to come look at a cool stick he found (this was not a weird or uncommon ask, so this did not arouse any suspicion from Brynn). Brynn walked to Robbie and he got down on one knee to ask her to marry him. Her response was "is this real?!" to which Robbie responded "yes" - so technically he said yes first? Robbie and Brynn love to travel together, cook together (there may be a custom recipe book dedicated to the recipes they make together) go to concerts (they may be small fans of Odesza - be prepared to hear them at the reception!) and navigating their lives together in Seattle. This includes copious hours of Mario Party, getting to the outdoors, binge watching great (and garbage) TV, exploring the Seattle food scene, and spending time with our loved ones. We are so honored to spend this day with all of you, to share our love for each other and for each and every person in our lives. We can't wait to see you!
