Fun fact: We have never been here. However, Titanic's big sister is basically synonymous with Long Beach, and we've been told that it is well worth the tour, the drinks and the food.

Naples
Contrary to popular belief, this is the original Naples. The Italian impostor came second. Gondola rides are tentatively recommended, ask us before you book anything.
Grand Central Market
The cornucopia of L.A's food scene. We first visited here in 2019 before either one of us had the faintest desire or belief that we would one day be living in L.A. Today we are grateful to be living so close to it. We have a vintage picture of the market stalls hung over our dining room. It keeps us hungry and inspired.
Little Tokyo
Bustling, unique and hunger-inducing, this gem of a neighborhood in the shadow of Downtown L.A is also directly accessible via the A line. Expect crowds, smiles and fantastic food and finds in every corner. Go get a smiski.
Smorgasburg (Los Angeles)
If you are still hungry after the GCM, Smorg will put you to hibernation. This weekly food festival in the heart of L.A's Arts District is one of our favorite places to wander, eat and hang out. With over 100 food and merchandise vendors and an eclectic collection of stores spread out in a repurposed railyard, this city within a city requires at least half a day to fully enjoy. Please note that the food festival (Smorgasburg) itself only happens on Sundays while the rest of the ROW complex is open daily.
The Grove
Los Angeles’ favorite shopping, dining and lifestyle destination. We love the mix of retail, restaurants and entertainment in an open-air environment pulsing with style and energy. Plus, the surrounding Fairfax district is one of L.A's most filmed and vibrant neighborhoods for walking shopping and exploring.
The Broad
A museum that is the staple of the L.A art scene. Easily accessible via the Metro A line from Long Beach which also serves the neighboring Walt Disney concert hall.
Los Angeles State Historic Park
L.A's (kinda) central park opened in 2018 and offers Soc's favorite views of DTLA's skyline. Also directly accessible via the A line!
Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County
Dinosaurs.
Abbot Kinney Boulevard
"The coolest street in America". We concur. Grab a bite, walk to the beach, come back and do it all over again.
Downtown Santa Monica
Nothing beats a pedestrian plaza in the middle of a bustling city near the bluffs.
