We met in Pocatello, Idaho. Dainee was in graduate school at ISU and Brycen was working in HR at the Lamb Weston American Falls plant. What seemed like a random night out ended up changing our lives forever. After getting convinced to talk to Dainee at Hooligan's bar, Brycen ended up playing his best ever game of pool. Bonding over our love of the outdoors and obsession with our pets (shoutout to Blazer for really winning Dainee over), we exchanged numbers and ended up closing the bar down. From that night on, Brycen and Dainee have been almost inseparable, even surviving six months of long distance while Dainee finished up her Masters degree as Brycen started work at the Lamb Weston corporate office in Eagle, Idaho. After graduating, Dainee moved in with Brycen into our little fixer upper outside of Boise and we have spend the past 2+ years doing so much home improvement, adding a new puppy to the mix, and creating our perfect home!
Brycen coordinated with his brother Tanner and sister-in-law Taylor to have us drive back to Pocatello to stay with Tan and Tay while we attended "a big speech that Tanner had to give for one of his classes at ISU." The four of us planned to meet up at Bru House coffee shop before Tanner's presentation. Tanner and Taylor had informed the barista what was about to happen, so when Brycen and Tanner went up to grab coffees for everyone, the barista wrote "Will you marry me?" on Dainee's coffee cup. Dainee was oblivious in the coffee shop, blabbing to Taylor about how this was the place where she and Brycen had gone on their first date. When the guys got back to the table, Brycen set down Dainee's coffee cup with the spout facing away from her and told her to turn around the coffee cup because the barista had written a note on there. After reading the message and letting out a loud squeal, Dainee turned to Brycen who had gotten down on his knee and had the ring in his hand. Embarrassingly for us, the entire coffee shop was staring. We both broke down into tears as Bry managed to get out the proposal as Dainee excitedly nodded after every word. Everyone finally went back to their own coffees after Dainee said yes! We are pretty private people, so we decided to host a small wedding weekend to keep the intimate feel that we both enjoy. We hope that y'all, our closest friends/family, will be able to make our big day! We can't wait to continue our love story with your support during our wedding and after as we begin our marriage.
Garden Valley is less than an hour outside of Boise, ID, up in the mountains along the Payette River. Be prepared for more Rocky Mountain forest than potato fields. You might just see some elk along the road when you're driving up to our home for the weekend, Sixty Chapel! We wanted to have a casual weekend with our closest friends and family where we happen to get married during the time we're all spending together! Get ready for a multitude of outdoor activities (swimming, fishing, hiking, sitting in hot springs) while we relax before the ceremony. Sixty Chapel will provide lodging for some guests, as well as a huge property with access for everyone to lawn games, wildlife viewing, and time spent getting to know one another. We know it's difficult for families and friends who live on opposite sides of the country, so we're hoping everyone will use this opportunity to get to know each other. We want to share y'all with each other! Let's hang out, share good food, and celebrate! August is usually the driest month in Idaho (often no rainy days at all), with an average high of 90°F and a low of 46°F. As lovers of nature, we will spend most of the weekend outside, so bring comfortable shoes, cool clothing, sunscreen, and maybe a hat! We'll be at about 3150 ft elevation! The cute little town of Crouch is less than a mile from Sixty Chapel, so you will have access to *some* civilization, but definitely prepare yourself for a mountain getaway!
