FAQs

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception will both be at The Valerie in Oconomowoc, WI. Both will be taking place indoors. Ample parking is available at the venue, and cars may stay parked until 10 AM the next day.

Question

What times are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The bride will be walking down the aisle at 4:30 PM, so we ask that you arrive at 4 PM. Doors will be locked at 4:30 PM for the procession. Once the procession concludes, late guests may be let into the ceremony space at the discretion of our venue coordinator. The reception will begin with a cocktail hour at 5 PM.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We ask that everyone dress in formal attire, think cocktail dresses and suits. Please avoid white, ivory, or cream. The theme is spring wedding, so we’d love to see lots of color!

Question

How do I RSVP and when is the deadline?

Answer

Go to the RSVP tab at the top of our website and type in your name in the search bar. Please complete your RSVP by March 20, 2026.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no" so that we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

A block of rooms has been reserved at Staybridge Suites in Oconomowoc for guests of our wedding. The hotel is conveniently located next to the venue, and guests staying overnight may park their cars in the hotel parking lot until their check-out time the next morning. To book a room, go to the Travel tab at the top of our website and select the number of nights you'd like to stay. If you plan to stay overnight, please book by February 23, 2026, for the best availability. The last day to book within our hotel block is March 23, 2026. After that, guests may book a general room through the hotel.

Question

I have dietary restrictions, what's the best way to communicate that with you?

Answer

There will be an opportunity to let us know your dietary restrictions when you RSVP. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy their meal!

Question

Can I take and post photos of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We love capturing memories! We do ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, as we would like that time to be unplugged. After the ceremony, we encourage you to take as many photos as you'd like!

Question

Can I bring a date or plus one not noted on my invitation?

Answer

If you received a plus one, they will appear as a “guest” with your name when you RSVP. Please ensure that you are RSVPing for yourself & your guest. We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your invitation.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We respectfully request that you RSVP only for the names that appear on your invitation.
