July 27, 2015 Our first day of summer show choir camp and technically the first day we would have ever met. We didn't interact at all until the season started later that school year. — January 10, 2015 Our first show choir competition with the South High Street Singers in Colby, WI. It was tradition for everyone to have a walking partner when walking to different parts of the competition as a group. We, being new to the group, both found ourselves lacking one, so an upper-classman put us together. The only words we exchanged were, "Have a good show." — February 7, 2016 Our first unofficial date. More like our friends "flaked out" on a group hang so the two of us could be alone. We walked the bike path in Fort for hours talking and making each other laugh. The best part was when Bryce's dad drove by a bench we were sitting at three times to confirm it was in fact his son hanging out with a girl. — February 24, 2016 Bryce asks Maddy to be his girlfriend. This occurred in the iconic music hallway of Fort Atkinson High School right at Maddy's locker. — February 25, 2016 Our first official date. We went to see Sweeney Todd at UW-Whitewater, which is a choice if you know the musical. Maddy's parents drove, Life 102.5 blasting from the radio, iykyk. They also bought us pins from the show, which was really sweet. — September 6, 2018 Bryce and Maddy start attending Carroll University together. We'll go on to graduate with degrees in Nursing and Graphic Design, Theatre Arts, and Computer Science respectively. — August 1, 2020 Our first trip together. We spent a weekend up north in Minocqua, WI and visited other neighboring towns as well. This also started our tradition of planning a trip each year for our anniversary. Since then we've been to St. Louis, MO, Pigeon Forge, TN, and San Antonio, TX. — August 13, 2021 Our move-in date of our first apartment together. It's a cozy apartment in downtown Waukesha walkable to Carroll, the Library, and lots of great spots to eat and hang out. — May 24, 2024 Bryce proposes to Maddy. Bryce had our friend Diego ask Maddy to be in a music video for a local band where we portrayed a couple having fun in the Third Ward in Milwaukee. In reality, the footage would be used to create an engagement video that we could keep forever. The final shot we took was Bryce's surprise proposal where Maddy, of course, said yes! (Watch the video on our home page.) — February 24, 2026 Our 10-year anniversary. — April 24, 2026 Bryce and Maddy get married!
