Things To Do

There are so many fun things to do in Estes Park during the summer! We have listed some of our favorite things to do along with other recommendations. You can also visit https://www.visitestespark.com/ to explore all Estes has to offer!

Rocky Mountain National Park

Estes Park, CO

Rocky Mountain National Park is a must see! RMNP offers beautiful views, lots of wildlife and endless hiking options ranging from easy to advanced! It is also extremely drivable having the highest paved road in the United States that ascends to 12,183 feet! Please note: In order to enter the park, you will need to purchase a park pass along with a timed entry reservation (one per vehicle). The park pass will be $30 that can be paid at the entrance or online before hand. If you already own an annual national park pass that works here as well! Since June is a peak visitor month in Estes Park, you will also need to reserve a timed entry reservation if you plan on entering between the hours of 9am-2pm. This is free of charge but is required to secure ahead of time once those passes start to become available. After 2pm you are able to enter without a timed entry pass!

The Stanley Hotel

333 East Wonderview Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517

The Stanley Hotel is known as being one of the most haunted hotels in America. This is where Stephen King was inspired to write "The Shining" after staying here with his wife! Aside from the ghost tours, whiskey/wine tastings, restaurants and bars, and hedge maze we recommend just going to explore the hotel as it is absolutely beautiful!

Wildside 4x4 Tours

212 East Elkhorn Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517

An awesome way to explore Rocky Mountain National Park!!

Lake Estes

Estes Park, CO 80517

Lake Estes Marina rents out everything from kayaks and paddleboards to pontoon boats and fishing gear! If you prefer to stay on land there is an easy 4-mile loop around the lake and bikes available for rent!

Mustang Mountain Coaster

1180 Dry Gulch Road, Estes Park, CO 80517

Suitable for everyone over the age of 3! Check out the website for more info on pricing!

Estes Park Aerial Tramway

420 East Riverside Drive, Estes Park, CO 80517

Downtown Estes Park

Downtown Estes is beautiful and very walkable! There is plenty of shopping, restaurants, bars and ice cream!
