Meet Our Wedding Party!

Timmy Hogan

Officiant

Timmy is Emily's oldest brother and has always been the protective big brother. When he first heard about meeting Bryant, he jokingly imagined all the ways of Bryant's demise. But when a 6-foot man walked through the door, Timmy quickly realized that friendship was the better option! All jokes aside, Timmy is beyond excited to welcome Bryant into the family as his brother-in-law, and Bryant feels exactly the same way. Timmy has the honor of marrying Emily and Bryant — and for a whoping $50, he too can marry you!

Liz Hogan

Maid of Honor

Liz is Emily's older sister — or as Emily likes to say, "her built-in best friend." The two text every day, and when one calls the other, it turns into an all-day conversation. Whether it’s visiting breweries and wineries, attending paint nights and concerts, or just relaxing by the pool, they always have a great time together. Despite everyone not thinking they are sisters due to not looking alike, they’re truly combined at the hip. Bryant knows exactly what he's getting himself into! Even though they live two hours apart, Liz and Emily are always planning their next visit. Emily can't imagine life without her big sister.

Lindsey Chicoine

Bridesmaid

Lindsey has lived just up the street from Emily most of Emily's life. In fact, Lindsey was there the day Emily came home from the hospital—even though she wasn’t exactly thrilled about it at the time. Now, the two are inseparable, with a Snapchat streak that shows no signs of slowing down. Most of their snaps feature Lindsey's adorable son and Emily's nephew, Harrison, who’s captured their hearts. They also enjoy all things margaritas and tacos!

Barbara Casey

Bridesmaid

Barbara is Emily's slightly younger cousin, and growing up, you never saw one without the other. They used to go camping together every summer and would always follow each other around. Barb is close with all of Emily's friends, who even gave her the nickname "Auntie" because she’s the more mature one in the group. Whenever Emily asks Barb to join her for any event, party, or even just to hang out, Barb never hesitates. No matter the occasion, she’s always there showing up with a smile on her face(:

Daniela McGovern

Bridesmaid

Daniela is Emily’s soon-to-be sister-in-law! Emily met Daniela when she was just five years old. Emily had always wanted a little sister, and when she met Bryant at such a young age, she got exactly that… even though, in reality, Emily is the "little" sister between the two. Emily loves the bond Bryant and Daniela share—they’re almost always on FaceTime together. Daniela also attends Boston College, and during the school year, she makes herself right at home in Bryant and Emily’s apartment. And don’t worry, they love it! Emily can’t wait to officially be considered sisters!

Katie Hogan

Bridesmaid

Katie is Emily's wonderful sister-in-law and the woman who gave Emily the greatest gifts of all—her two beautiful nieces! While Katie may occasionally question her decision to share her house code with Emily (especially after a few surprise visits on Emily’s way home from Boston!), she’s always up for a good time. Whether it’s enjoying a glass of wine, playing games like Mind the Gap or THE GAME, or simply hanging out, Katie is the perfect addition to the family. Emily is truly lucky to call her a sister.

Shannon Chicoine

Bridesmaid

Emily first met Shannon during her sophomore year at Springfield College when she visited her best friend, Dan. From the moment she met Shannon, Emily knew that Shannon and Dan were a perfect match. Shannon’s warm heart and infectious smile brightens every room she enters. Shannon has become Emily's go-to for all things wedding-related, especially after Dan and Shannon's wedding in September. Emily was truly honored to stand by their side on such a special day. Shannon made the most stunning bride...as you could see in the photo of them together!

Leah Ferriby

Bridesmaid

Leah and Emily have been friends since middle school. Leah was there to witness one of Emily's most embarrassing moments in their 7th-grade English class—something they both laugh about now, though it's one memory that's best left unspoken. Over the years, they've shared countless experiences, from middle school to college, where they lived together for three years. The list of memories they've created, from inside jokes, late-night talks, spontaneous adventures, could easily fill this entire page.

Abby Roche

Bridesmaid

Emily met Abby during their freshman year of college, and they ended up being roommates for almost all four years. The only exception was when Abby studied abroad during their junior year. Throughout college they were often found together on campus, usually at JP's ordering mozzarella sticks and milkshakes. Although the two have been apart for a while, once together it is like no time has past. Abby just moved back to Connecticut from California and although Abby might not be happy about that move, Emily sure is!

Steph Gallagher

Bridesmaid

Emily met Steph during their sophomore year of college when they became suitemates. What started off as two strangers living together quickly turned into an amazing friendship. In college, Steph was always up for an adventure, eager to go out and have a good time and Emily was right there with her. Their bond has only grown since graduation, and now, years later, Emily will also be standing by Steph's side as a bridesmaid at her wedding in March! It’s a full-circle moment, one that started in a dorm room and is now about to reach a beautiful milestone. And yes—Emily has already taken the next step herself, officially changing Steph's last name from Whelan to Gallagher on this wedding page!

Maria Didonato

Bridesmaid

Maria and Emily first met at Carnegie Mellon where Maria attended College with Bryant. Maria now lives in Boston, and they make it a priority to see each other whenever possible. Bryant and Emily are very close with all of Maria's family. Bryant goes on trips with Maria's family on a regular basis and Emily gets to tag along when her work schedule allows. They have traveled pretty much all over the world together—literally. Emily feels incredibly grateful for the deep bond she has with Maria and the lasting memories they've built together.

Jenny Dube

Bridesmaid

Emily and Jenny met while working at Yale, where Emily helped precept Jenny in Pediatrics. After Jenny moved to North Carolina, Emily followed by taking a three-month travel position there. Though they were still an hour apart, they made the most of every opportunity to travel back and forth to hang out. Now, Emily is working on convincing Jenny to move to Boston and take a job at the hospital where Emily works. Maybe one day, she will!

Gwendolyn Rosevear

Bridesmaid

Gwen is Emily’s oldest niece, and she’s the absolute funniest and sassiest girl who is always full of surprises. The things Gwen comes up with never fails to crack Emily up. If you’re looking for a day full of entertainment and laughs, Gwen is definitely the one to turn to. Emily especially loves watching Gwen’s dance performances, both on stage and in the spontaneous moments when she breaks into a dance wherever she happens to be. Gwen’s energy and creativity always leave Emily smiling!

Mary-Elizabeth Hogan

Flower Girl

MaryBeth is Emily's youngest niece, and her vibrant personality always brings a smile to everyone around her. She has a natural charm and loves meeting new people, often thriving as the center of attention. If you're not giving her the attention she thinks she deserves, she'll make sure you know it—usually with her babbles that demand notice. It's clear that MaryBeth inherited her sassy streak from her older sister, Gwen, who’s just as full of spunk. With her infectious energy and confidence, MaryBeth is sure to keep everyone on their toes!

Harrison Chicoine

Ring Bearer

Harrison is Emily’s adorable nephew, and she absolutely loves whenever she gets to see his bright, infectious smile. The highlight of her day is receiving the daily Snapchats from his mom, Lindsey. Harrison is always on the move—whether he's running through the house or dancing in front of the TV. Every day, he manages to make Emily laugh with something new and unexpected he does that Lindsey informs Emily about. Emily cannot wait to see him, full of energy, running down the aisle with Marybeth at her wedding. It will be a memory she'll cherish forever.

Shawn Backus

Best Man

Shawn, Bryant’s younger brother, has always been a source of both laughter and inspiration. As kids, they had their fair share of sibling rivalry. Maybe Bryant was just jealous of Shawn's signature pterodactyl roar. Regardless, they've grown into the closest of friends. With his quiet humor and perfect timing, Shawn can always make people laugh. He’s also incredibly driven and fearless, as evidenced by his brave decision to move across the country to pursue a new career. Bryant is honored to have SHAWN as his best man.

Anthony Didonato

Groomsman

Anthony and Bryant met on the third day of college orientation at Carnegie Mellon. Anthony mentioned that it was the first event he'd attended all week and, knowing of some local parties, invited Bryant to join. The two quickly became close friends. Bryant often joined Anthony and his family for dinner at their home in Pittsburgh as well as on trips to the family lake house in Michigan many summers. Now, both living in Boston, Anthony and Bryant engage in shenanigans regularly, and often test Emily's patience.

Talvin Rodgers

Groomsman

In middle school, Talvin and Bryant faced off on rival baseball teams. They were both pitchers, and their friendly competition on the mound was legendary. While Bryant often got the best of Talvin, their rivalry was always good-natured. A couple years later, fate brought them together in high school band class. As they sat side-by-side, playing percussion, Bryant couldn’t resist a playful jab: “Hey, aren’t you the guy I always strike out?” Talvin just grinned and replied jokingly, “Screw you.” That interaction is also very indicative of their relationship. It's always jokes and love between the two.

Ryan Hogan

Groomsman

Ryan, affectionately known as “Air Hogan,” is Emily’s younger brother and a close friend to Bryant. Having known Ryan since he was six, Bryant has watched him grow up and is excited to officially welcome him as a brother-in-law. Ryan is always down to play catch or a lawn game with Bryant at the family parties. They also share an interest in video games and have spent time playing together. Bryant would always comment on how good he USED to be as they played.

Bryant Phinneous

Groomsman

The two first met back in the third grade where they were commonly referred to as Bryant squared. Their teacher would challenge them to read and they took it upon themselves to have a friendly competition to see who could finish a book the fastest. Of course Bryant won every time. Over the years the competitive spirit persisted, but moved into video games. The two would hangout most days after school and play Halo and Guitar Hero. Again Bryant maintained that upper hand. They've mostly toned it back now but will still hangout when they can and see who can drink the most beers. Most of the time it's, you guessed it, Bryant.

Dan Chicoine

Groomsman

Dan, also known as BWO, has been friends with Emily since they were kids, and he met Bryant playing on the same middle school baseball team (yep, the one where Bryant and Emily first crossed paths!). Dan proudly claims he helped spark their romance—although he’s not the only groomsman on this page who takes credit. These days, Dan has Bryant hooked on Spartan Races, which they run together a couple of times a year. Of course, no race is complete without celebrating afterward with a few well-deserved drinks!

Rob Brown

Groomsman

Rob and Bryant first crossed paths freshman year in band class. Rob already knew a few of the other groomsmen from middle school, but it didn’t take long for him and Bryant to become friends—especially when he wandered back to the percussion section (despite being a tromboner) to goof off with the rest of us. Soon, the two found themselves sharing the basketball court, where they bonded over friendly competition—and if you really want a story, ask Rob about the time Bryant dunked on him! Their shared interests didn’t end there, though: they also teamed up in culinary arts class, whipping up recipes after school and perfecting their cooking skills side by side.

Kahlil Cohens

Groomsman

Kahlil—also known as “Big Sean in the flesh”—and Bryant have been friends since middle school, bonding first on the basketball court and then on their baseball team, which happens to be where Bryant and Emily met. Kahlil also ended up in the same middle school wing as Emily, forming a quick friendship with her as well. If you hadn't already guessed, he is the other groomsman claiming credit for introducing the happy couple (we might just have to let Kahlil and Dan duke it out to see who’s really responsible!). Beyond that playful debate, Kahlil is known for always keeping his friends close; he’s the first to call and check in, no matter how busy life gets. Bryant and Emily recently had the pleasure of attending Kahlil’s own wedding this past summer.

Brendan Wormly

Groomsman

Brendan—affectionately nicknamed “Wormly,” or sometimes the more elongated “Wooorrrrmmmmmllyyyyylylyly”—first met Bryant in high school but was already part of the same middle-school circle of friends. The two quickly bonded as members of the freshman basketball team (with Rob), where Brendan earned local fame for a memorable shot called “The Rocket.” Summers often found Brendan hanging out at Bryant’s house, and the two even tackled a summer job together at a local go-kart track and arcade. More recently, Bryant served as a groomsman in Brendan’s wedding, after which the bridal party and close family celebrated on a cruise. Now it’s Brendan’s turn to stand by Bryant’s side!

Myles Reed

Groomsman

Myles, also known as “YungPapiFuego” (You may have seen him on Netflix 😉). He and Bryant first crossed paths freshman year of college through the fraternity that Bryant joined (with Anthony and Eric). Although Myles was a bit older and initially took on more of a mentor role, it didn’t take long for them to become fast friends. They roomed together sophomore year, which gave rise to one of their favorite stories: Both can be pretty stubborn, and one time they went a whole week without talking, each convinced the other was mad. When they finally figured it out, they realized how silly they’d been and still laugh about it today. Even though Myles has spent much of his time in California since graduation, they still see each other often—whether it’s trips to L.A., friends’ weddings, winter ski trips, or summers at Anthony’s family lake house.

Eric Chow

Groomsman

Bryant and Eric—known to most simply as “Chow”—met freshman year of college when they joined the same fraternity. Their friendship was sealed during a spirited beer pong battle at a new-member retreat, a showdown that remains a source of playful debate over who’s the best. They soon became close friends, especially alongside Anthony and Myles. Sophomore year, they lived across the hall from each other; by senior year, they were housemates. A few years after college, Chow spent a couple of years in Boston with Bryant and Anthony, where they spent countless weekends goofing off (and occasionally testing Emily’s patience). Though Chow has since moved away, they still see each other regularly on various trips. And in just a couple of months after Bryant and Emily are married, Bryant is thrilled to stand by Chow’s side as he gets married, too!
