Amelia's sister and built-in friend from birth, Emily has been through every part of life with Amelia and the day wouldn't be right without them side-by-side. Though Emily might often find herself on the receiving end of some teasing from her sister (and their brother), Amelia couldn't imagine this day (or any other) without her. Emily is the youngest triplet by a matter of minutes, the only lefty of the three, and has provided Amelia with most of her wardrobe.

Riley and Spencer met through a mutual friend in undergrad nearly a decade ago, and both men gained a brother. Despite the gap in distance and time between Florida and Utah, their friendship couldn't be stronger. Whether they're co-working together at their remote jobs, solving murders in bizarre mystery games, or planning out epic Dungeons and Dragons campaigns, they can always be counted on to keep their friends' spirits high with strange plays on words.

Amelia's Partner-in-Crime, Katelyn might as well be another sister (she can be found replacing Amelia's brother in some Christmas photos when he was in Japan). When their busy schedules allow these two can often be found together at their favorite coffee shop catching-up, laughing, and of course, sharing about their recent reads.
Gabe McLaughlin

Gabe and Spencer met in high school debate class just weeks after Spencer returned to the USA from Brazil, becoming fast friends when Spencer needed it most. While they have definitely argued with each other at length for the many years they have been friends, above all, they push each other to be better men. At Gabe's parents' behest, Spencer chaperoned the first date with Gabe's eventual wife, Ale.

Chloe is Amelia's future sister-in-law and a wonderful friend. In the time the two have known each other they've shared many laughs and fun memories, and Amelia can't wait to be sisters. Fun fact: Chloe is a twin, and is getting ready to marry a triplet!
Alexis McLaughlin

Ale and Spencer are often described as each other's "hidden twin" due to how similar their personalities, sense of humor, and protective instincts are, which provides them frequent amusement, often at Ale's husband Gabe's expense. Spencer and Ale love narrative-driven RPGs, cooking, and sympathizing over corporate life. Both of their spouses are interested in piloting, and they hope this means they will be seeing each other more often.
Ainsleigh Shaw

Ainsleigh is Spencer's sister and Amelia is so excited to be gaining her as a sister! She is absolutely the coolest teenager ever, is incredibly sweet and funny, and will be the person to watch on the dance floor! She has without success tried to teach Amelia many a TikTok dance, but was successful in teaching her how to use make-up.
Katie McBee

Katie and Spencer have known each other for twenty years and have a lifetime of shared memories. Practically siblings, they were each others dates to most school dances, went on vacations together almost every summer, toured colleges together, and have road-tripped across the country to reunite. As adults, they continue to bond over books, their faith, and most recently, Katie's budding interest in video games.
McKenzie Peters

McKenzie is one of Amelia's close friends from NC State. They met shortly before the very first day and McKenzie insisted they be lab partners for the Earth System Science class. The two spent much of the following four years together studying, going on adventures, and launching weather balloons. Fun Fact: Shortly before one of their first tests, McKenzie was humming a little song that got stuck in Amelia's head, and to this day that song still plays in Amelia's head before every test.
Bryce Allmond

Bryce and Spencer have been close friends since Spencer was in college after meeting through a mutual friend. Forever the star player of their short-lived MMO raiding group, Bryce has been a steadfast friend to Spencer through thick and thin. Bryce introduced Spencer to his favorite TV show, RWBY, which they enjoyed watching together every week as it released, and both hope it will come back again someday. Bryce and Spencer enjoy discussing computer hardware, emulation, and game modding.
Lauren Pressley

Lauren is another close friend of Amelia's from NC State. She was also a lab partner in that laughter-filled Earth Systems Science class where the Met. Squad was born. They too spent much of their time at NC State together, Lauren quickly became a friend Amelia often turns to for advice. In addition to their love of weather, the two also share a love of aviation. They once went to an airshow together, and have often imagined what it might be like to fly into hurricanes together.
Jordan Williams

Jordan and Spencer have been friends for nearly a decade after meeting while Spencer was in college. They share a famous synergy within their friend group during competitive multiplayer games, wordlessly anticipating each other's intent and working together to achieve victory. Jordan and Spencer share a love of music, art, and tabletop RPGs. Spencer keeps prints of artwork Jordan made for his favorite campaign displayed in his office.
EJ Hoffmaster

EJ and Amelia arrived in Tallahassee around the same time and met at the campus ministry (where Amelia later met Spencer). The two both share a love of nature, and nature walks are one of their preferred ways to spend time together. EJ is a friend who truly feels like family, though Amelia considers her to be like a younger sister, EJ prefers to call Amelia and Spencer her "Tallahassee parents". During the summers EJ is a super cool, very talented beach lifeguard.
Wesley Parker

Wesley and Spencer met over twenty years ago and have been friends for life. As boys, they were photographed by their local newspaper jumping in leaf piles in Wesley's backyard, the clipping of which is still displayed proudly on Spencer's mom's fridge. Spencer and Wesley continue to bond over retro games, anime, and exploring VR worlds while catching each other up on their adult lives.
Bryant Manning

Bryant Manning is the Executive Director and Pastor of the FSU and TSC Wesley Foundation in Tallahassee, FL, where Amelia and Spencer met in 2023 at a Welcome Week trivia night and have attended together since, giving him a front row seat as their relationship unfolded. Bryant is a father of two young girls, a spouse to Allison, and called by God to help students take their next step with Jesus. Bryant is a graduate of Florida Southern College with a Bachelors of Music and a Masters of Divinity degree from Duke University’s Divinity School. Before coming to FSU Wesley, Bryant served as the Associate Chaplain at Florida Southern College for seven years.
