FAQs

Please find below the answers to some questions we anticipate being commonly asked. If you have specific questions, please reach out to our wedding planner, Mary Bell, at (828) 450-2209.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you respond by March 26.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes. The registry tab on our website simplifies the process by putting all the information in one place, clicking on the item you wish to give will direct you to the appropriate website to place an order or how to contribute to a cash fund. We are also registered with Pottery Barn, this can also be accessed on the registry tab, or using Pottery Barn's website "Find a Registry" tab and searching for either of our names.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, semi-formal/cocktail. For our gentlemen, consider wearing slacks, button-down collared shirts, and non-street shoes. For ladies, consider wearing dresses, blouses, skirts, dress pants, and non-street shoes. Generally, if you would wear it to a formal church service, that would be great. We'd like to avoid denim and sneakers.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation read "XYZ and guest", then we have reserved a spot for your plus one. If your invitation has only your name on it, we kindly ask you to attend by yourself. If your invitation read "to the XYZ Family", your entire household is invited to attend. We do have a strict guest limit due to the venue's capacity, and we thank you for your understanding.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We have arranged for shuttle transportation to and from the ceremony, with pickup/dropoff locations currently TBD. We will update this section to reflect the finalized information.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at four o'clock in the afternoon. Please arrive with enough time to sign the guest book and find a seat before the ceremony begins- perhaps fifteen to twenty minutes.
