Our story began in one of the most genuine and organic ways—by meeting through friends. What started as a simple introduction during Ella’s freshman year and Will’s junior year quickly became something special. Over time, casual conversations turned into deeper talks, shared laughs, and learning more and more about each other. As the months went by, we spent more time together, met each other’s families, and slowly realized how special our connection was. In June of 2021, after building a friendship first, we officially began dating. That friendship has been the foundation of everything—walking with each other through struggles and wins, everyday joys, and the moments that have shaped who we are. There is no better way to learn someone’s heart than first knowing them as a friend and growing to love them in every new stage. We are incredibly grateful for God’s timing, His gentle guidance, and His faithfulness in our relationship. We are very excited for what’s to come— through a lifetime of marriage, love, and memories to come.
For months, Will had been secretly planning—and saving—for the perfect proposal. Every detail mattered to him, from the location to the moment itself. When he planned a getaway for us to St. Pete, Ella had a little hunch that something might be happening, but she didn’t know when, where, or how. She simply enjoyed the trip and the excitement of being away together. One afternoon, Will suggested we visit the Sunken Gardens, a place known for its gorgeous tropical flowers, palm trees and wildlife. Eventually, Will guided Ella toward the wedding lawn, a bright open event space tucked within the gardens. Will then got down on one knee and asked Ella to marry him.
