Things To Do

Downtown Solvang is very cute - it's modeled as a little Danish town with lots of restaurants, bars, and wineries. For breakfast, we recommend Good Seed for coffee, Brekkies for a quick sit-down meal, and Birkholm's for pastries. Paula's Pancake House is very popular, too. For lunch, peasants FEAST and Succulent Cafe are delicious. For dinner, our favorites are Toscana for Italian and First & Oak for modern Californian. You may need reservations depending on the night. Santa Barbara is 40 minutes south and offers great dining and beaches. Our favorite restaurants are Barbareño, Lark, Loquita and Bettina Pizzeria, and our favorite beach is Hendry's Beach / Arroyo Burro for easy parking, beautiful scenery, and snacks nearby.
