We're Getting Married!

We've done a few things a little out of order: we moved in together in February 2018, bought our home in August 2019 and started planning for a family, but as of Thanksgiving 2019 we still weren't engaged. Needless to say, the pressure was on. The family laid it on thick during the holiday dinner, asking when we'd take the next step and told us about their own engagement stories as inspiration. Little did they know Tim had a plan, an unbelievable plan. Thursday night, exactly a week after Thanksgiving, Bryan decided to hang around in the city to do some shopping. That's when the calls started to pour in from Tim: "Where are you? Please grab dinner on your way home. Just stop at our favorite Mexican spot. Something quick. When are you going to be home?". Bryan arrived home a couple hours later than expected and they rushed to eat. Tim was acting adorably nervous and about halfway through the meal he got up, reached into one of the Christmas stockings hanging from the mantle, and pulled out a small red box. Some sweet words were said, Tim got down on one knee, a proposal was made and a few tears (and screams of excitement) followed. The real shocker came a few minutes after the proposal was made: "You have less than an hour to pack!". The destination, a surprise. And pack he did. Bryan started rounding up his valuables and lifelong mementos, like he was fleeing for his life. Photos, watches, and all of his jewelry went flying into a carry-on. Tim calmly re-emphasized that beach wear and flip flops were all he'd need as Bryan cautiously pulled some of his treasures from his bag. It would be a twelve hour journey encompassing two flights, boarding a small propeller plane that gave us the most breathtaking views, and a short boat ride until Bryan learned they were spending a long weekend in Belize! Needless to say, Christmas was way easier on Tim than Thanksgiving had been.

March 2017 - Met on pretentious dating app, "The League". April 2017 - First date. NOM. July 2017 - Officially boyfriends. <3 February 2018 - We moved in together. January 2019 - Began looking for a house together. July 2019 - Landed our dream home. August 2019 - Moved into our Trestle Glen Tudor. December 2019 - Got Engaged! February 2020 - Started planning the wedding and a family. April 2020 - Wedding planning put on hold. September 10, 2021 - Wedding is HAPPENING! lol We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Santa Ynez!
