1:00 pm - 2:15 pm
For those getting married in the Catholic Church, the highpoint of the wedding day is the wedding liturgy, where the bride and groom become husband and wife in the lifelong covenant of marriage. We invite all guests to participate in the Wedding Mass through song, prayer, and active listening. As Catholics, we believe the Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and as such is the “source and summit” of our faith and may only be received by Catholics who are in a state of grace. Therefore, Bryan and Kayla implore you to follow the Church’s teaching that “Only baptized Catholics who have received their first communion, are practicing the faith, and are not aware of having committed mortal (serious) sins since their last confession may receive the Eucharist. If you are not going to receive, please remain in your seat and pray for and with the couple.”
3:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Please join us at Kingwood Center after the Wedding Mass for a wedding feast to celebrate God’s love portrayed through marriage, friendship, and family. Cocktail hour (including open beer and wine bar and light appetizers) will be from 3:00-4:30, and guests will be allowed free entry to walk through and explore the beautiful gardens and grounds of Kingwood. A buffet dinner (pulled BBQ chicken, smokehouse mac and cheese, and smoked summer veggies), open beer and wine bar, and open dance floor will follow.
