While looking for a place to sit at the grad student welcome fair, Bryan noticed the group of pharmacy grad students and thought "they don't look like they would bite" (his exact thoughts). After joining the group for a picnic and drinks at Bill's Beer Garden, he was now an honorary pharmacy PhD. A couple of tailgates, church events, and various adventures later and the rest is history. We knew we were meant to be only a few months into the relationship but Jill attending a Monster Jam rally and Bryan agreeing to ride 100 miles on the bike really solidified how crazy we are about each other!

Being the suave guy that he is, Bryan planned a "12 days of Christmas" themed scavenger hunt through Frankenmuth, MI under the alias of Caleb. Jill knew something was up because it is not often that a scavenger hunt is planned. When they got to the picturesque covered bridge, she thought he would ask then but it did not happen. It wasn't until they arrived at Bishop Lake for a friend's birthday party that he popped the question, with the ring tied on a "5 golden rings" ornament. So in the end he did surprise Jill and of course she said yes!
