We found each other through a mutual appreciation for hot dogs and awful dad jokes—and the rest was history. Our first date was split between fancy-shamncy cocktails at a prim and proper restaurant and Dara obliterating Bryan at various arcade games at a bar with dim lights, cheap beer, and sticky floors just around the corner. And on that date we both knew that we were destined for a New York City-style long-distance relationship between Manhattan and Brooklyn. In the near three years since the first time we saw each other, the laughs continue to make our cheeks hurt. The trips across America to see (and meet which was the peak of Bryan’s existence) our favorite country music artist—Kip Moore—in concert, all of the nights listening to farm animals outside of our Airbnbs in the middle of nowhere, the shared kitchen responsibilities, every episode of the Real Housewives or Below Deck series, the compassion to be there when life gets tough, and our never ending desire to support each other carried us on this journey. Here’s to our shared foundation: One apartment (yes, Dara moved to Brooklyn), two turtles, 8,928,593 home appliances, and zero space to keep them. And cheers to the family who are friends, friends who are family, and everyone in between who has supported our love story so far. The adventure continues with all of you so very soon, so get ready to celebrate, laugh, and get down on the dance floor!
