Yes! Our venue will have a working carousel and a playground. Feel free to bring your kids, but remember that we want you to help us celebrate this incredible occasion. If your kids need to be in bed by 7, that will make it hard for us to party the night away, so please use your discretion.
No. DC has great public transportation, but unfortunately there isn't reliable public transit to and from our venue. While you're staying in the area, you shouldn't need a car at all. On the day of the wedding, we recommend using Uber or Lyft.
There are three major airports that serve the Washington, DC area. The best option is Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA). This airport is the closest to the city and metro accessible. It tends to be a little more expensive to fly into, but the other airports are about 30 miles out of the city, so be sure to factor in transportation costs. The other two airport options are Dulles (IAD) and Baltimore (BWI). If you fly into either of these, you will need arrange transport into the city. There are taxis and Super Shuttle services available. There are also public transportation options from both that involve busing to metro stations. For this you can plan your trip using the WMATA trip planner tool. We can answer any questions you have about getting here. We're very well-versed in all of the airports. Just let us know!
Colorful cocktail! We are getting married in a 1920's amusement park that has been preserved as an artists space and a historic sight. We want our wedding to be vibrant and fun! Consider this event your excuse to wear that sun dress that is just a little too out there for the black tie weddings you usually attend.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
