The ceremony will be outside at the farm. Seating will be available, but the ground may be soft and it will most definitely be dirty, so appropriate footwear is recommended. If rain is predicted, the ceremony will take place under a tent at the farm. Please be warned the ceremony is taking place in a wooded area. Unfortunately, just as at Wrigley Field, some views may be obstructed. Sunscreen and bug spray will be provided! The reception will be in an air conditioned tent, but there will be s'mores and wonderful views from the venue.
Bell Manor is about a 20-25 minute drive from the Ward Family Farm. There will be round trip transportation from both of the hotels to the farm, reception and back.
Yes! Kids of all ages are invited to attend! Just to be sure to include them on your RSVP :)
DO NOT TAKE US ROUTE 50!!! Route 50 leads to the “back hill” of Reub Hill Road which is closed. If you take 50 to Reub Hill, you will see a road closed sign and will have to take a 20+ minute detour to the front hill (route 50 is in fact closed in some places as well). Please follow the directions on the travel page. Please note that you may see a “Road Closed” sign at the bottom of Reub Hill Rd and Bishop Hill Road. This is referring to the “back hill” only. You may proceed up the “front hill” of Reub Hill Road off of Bishop Hill and you will reach the Ward farm.
Please gently tear off the bottom card of the invitation and send in the mail before August 1. Don’t forget to circle yes or no on the card for the welcome cookout on Saturday. Thank you!!
Someone will direct you where to park at the farm. Please DO NOT park on the Ward’s yard. Parking on any gravel is preferred to parking in the grass. If you are young and spry, please park on the far (south) side of the creek and walk over the bridge to the ceremony in order to allow less able folks to park on the north side of the creek, closer to the ceremony.
Please arrive slightly before 4:00 pm.
A bus will be transporting guests from the Christopher Inn and Fairfield Inn to the Ward Family Farm. When you check into these hotels, the front desk will have a sign up sheet for 2 shuttle times. Because seats are limited on the bus, we can only take so many people per trip. Be sure to sign up for a 2:30 or 3:30 PM shuttle on Sunday. After the ceremony and some photos, the shuttle will depart the farm for the reception venue at around 4:45. Shuttles will go from the reception venue, Bell Manor, to the Christopher Inn and Fairfield Inn starting at around 9:30 PM. The last shuttle will be at around 11:00 PM.
Nope, sorry. Shuttle services will only be available on Sunday 9/1/19.
