Yes—with the same kind of awareness you’d bring to any major city. Like any big urban area, Mexico City has neighborhoods that feel very different from one another. We’ve planned everything in areas that are not only beautiful and culturally rich, but also well-traveled and safe for visitors. Think: Condesa, Roma, and Polanco—each walkable, full of life, and popular with both locals and tourists. We’ve also built our weekend around locations and transportation that make it easy to enjoy without stress. Follow our tips for getting around (Uber is safe, easy, and widely used), and we’re always here if you have any questions. This city holds a special place in our hearts, and we can’t wait for you to experience it the way we have: full of color, beauty, history, and joy.
Everyone coming from the States will need to have a valid passport, but you don't need a Visa. Please double check that your passport won't expire within 6 months of your trip
Mexico City International Airport (MEX) is the primary airport.
If you plan to attend the Thursday Welcome Party, we suggest arriving sometime early December 4th. Please feel free to come earlier and stay later - we are! If your schedule doesn't allow you to arrive Thursday, we can't wait to celebrate with you whenever you arrive.
We reserved room blocks at the JW Marriott Mexico City Polanco and the Andaz Mexico City Condesa. We’ve also put together a list of Airbnbs we love in neighborhoods close to the ceremony and reception venue. You can find both options on our Travel & Accommodations page.
Mexico City is high up (even higher than Denver!), so you might feel a little winded the first day. Drink plenty of water, take it easy if you're sensitive to altitude, and maybe skip that extra mezcal on night one.
December in Mexico City is mild and sunny, with daytime temps around 70°F and cooler evenings in the 50s. We recommend bringing layers, especially for nighttime events or if you plan to explore the city. Rain is rare this time of year, since it falls during the dry season.
Mexico City's tap water is undrinkable (for locals and tourists alike). We advise drinking bottled water 100% of the time. Any water or ice served at a restaurant will be bottled/purified but if you are ever in doubt, just ask! Also, be cognizant when brushing your teeth and showering. Bring some Pepto or Immodium just in case!
Yes! We’re happy to accommodate any dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and others. Please just let us know when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
If your invitation includes a plus-one, they're welcome! Otherwise, we kindly ask you to attend solo.
While we adore your little ones, our wedding events are adults-only.
Why of course there will be 😉
We are, technically, registered. But if we forgot to get you a wedding gift, please — we beg you — do not get us one. Seriously. Don’t make us feel worse. That said, if you're feeling generous (and unwronged), you can find the registry on the Registry page.
