Question

What do I wear?

Answer

Think red carpet. This is your opportunity to feel like you are a movie star! No outfit is too over the top or fancy. If you didn't go to prom, here is your chance... if you did go to prom and your outfit still fits.... #yolo. Ladies: Be comfortable, first and foremost! But know that no color (except white), sparkles, length, etc. is off limits. Cultural garments are encouraged as well. Be fierce, my queens! Gentlemen: Suits or tuxedos! Both are acceptable, but jazz it up. Accessorize to your hearts content. Top hats, canes, capes; get creative with it! We would love to see the men in colors other than black and grey.

Question

Is the ceremony/reception indoors or outdoors? What is the weather like that time of year?

Answer

The ceremony is outdoors in an enclosed courtyard. Portions of cocktail hour and the reception will also be outdoors. Early November tends to be low 70's to high 60's in the evening in Jacksonville. We would recommend packing a shawl or jacket just in case the weather is cooler the day of the event.

Question

Where do I stay?

Answer

All room blocks and transportation information is available on the Travel & Accommodations page. If you plan on staying at the hotel that we have a block for, it is now available for booking. If you are booking other accommodations, please be aware that the venue is about 45 minutes south of Jacksonville and make sure to account for travel time and cost from your lodgings.

Question

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, check out our Travel & Accommodations page for all the info you need.

Question

If i'm not using the shuttles, what do I do for parking?

Answer

We highly recommend using the shuttles or catching an Uber/Lyft. But if you must drive, the venue has a grassy area adjacent to the building for parking. There will be a parking attendant to help you park in the correct spot (they are not a valet). Parking is free.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Consider this the fanciest date night of the year.

Question

Will there be childcare services provided?

Answer

There will be professional sitting services available offsite for a limited number of children. The cost will be $100 per child. You must RSVP for your child prior to August 15th, 2022. After this date there will be no more availability. To RSVP- Send an email to bnkstays@gmail.com with the subject "Wedding Sitting Service". Include: 1) Your name 2) Childs name 3) Childs Age 4) Food or other allergies 5) Any special needs

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Please feel free to take all the pictures you want outside of the ceremony. The ceremony will be unplugged so that our talented photography and videography teams can capture all the best moments unobstructed by phone screens. We also want you, our closest friends and family, to be in the moment and enjoy this occasion with us. Before or after the ceremony, breakout your best instragram skills and snap away! Don't forget to use our wedding hashtag: #BurdineAroundTheWorld

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive no earlier than 315 pm (1 hour prior to the ceremony) if you are utilizing your own transportation. Guests who are taking the shuttles may arrive slightly ahead of schedule depending on traffic and other unknown elements.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please submit your online only RSVP no later than September 15th, 2022. Earn Premier Guest status by RSVPing prior to August 15th, 2022!

Question

Where is your registry? Can I buy you a gift?

Answer

We appreciate so much that you may want to purchase us a gift and are very thankful for the thought! However, becuase we are now travelling for work and need to keep our load as light as possible, we are only accepting contributions to our honeymoon fund. Please visit the HoneyFund page to donate any amount that you wish.

Question

Do I need to be COVID-19 tested or vaccinated to attend the event?

Answer

We highly recommend that guests be fully vaccinated with any recommended booster shots prior to the wedding, however it is not a requirement. Masks at the event and testing prior to the event is also up to your discretion, but we do highly recommend getting tested no more than 48 hrs prior to the event. If you choose to get tested and your results are positive, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending for the safety of the other guests.

Question

I have food sensitivities or special diet needs. Will those be accommodated?

Answer

There will be a variety of specialty dishes available to eat throughout the night. Due to the specific nature and presentation of the dishes, substitutions and/or special meal requests cannot be accommodated. If you feel that you would not be able to partake without changes to the menu, we highly recommend (and would not be offended if) you grab something to eat prior to attending the wedding.
