Question

May I bring a date, friend or my children?

Answer

While we love that you are attending, there will not be any plus ones unless already stipulated in your invitation. The event will not have any children present, and we appreciate you respecting our wishes.

What should I wear?

Answer

The attire for the day's events are semi formal or cocktail. Though we all love jeans, t-shirts and flannels, they are, however, not appropriate for the day's events. Some suggested attire for men is a button-down shirt and dress pants. Dress shoes are also very appropriate if you wish. For ladies, long dresses/gowns, short dresses, cocktail dresses and formal pant attire are appropriate. Keep in mind it will be a late October afternoon, so please dress accordingly.

How do I give a gift?

Answer

First, thank you for your gift! Second, guests have two options when giving a gift. You may give a monetary gift on our registry prior to the vow renewal, or you may bring a card to the day's event. There will be a card table where you may place it. It is important to note that gifts are NOT REQUIRED whatsoever. It is gift enough to have you there to celebrate with us!

May I take photos or videos?

Answer

Though our ceremony/vow renewal will be unplugged, you may take photos and videos during the reception. We request that you keep your cell phone on do not disturb during the ceremony and to not use it at all during that time.

Where should I stay if I am from out of town?

Answer

There are several options for hotels in Wheeling! Oglebay Resort and Conference Center, at 465 Lodge Drive, is a lovely option, with restaurants and beautiful scenery. You can also opt to stay at the Hampton Inn by Hilton, 795 National Road. This hotel is right in the center of Wheeling with local restaurants nearby and is a five-minute drive from the vow renewal. While we have not reserved a block for these locations, they are certainly good options in the Wheeling area!
