Twelve years ago Brad was introduced into the family when he started dating David's sister Heidi. Brad seemed like the pretty alright guy to David but soon became even better when he asked Heidi to marry him. David was soon asked to take a role in their wedding as a groomsman, in which he was honored to do so.. David and Brad have since became even better friends and Brother in Laws. They have had many times together fishing, hunting, kayaking or just doing things around the house. David has looked up to Heidi and Brads marriage and always wanted a marriage where both people are as giving and loyal as they have been. This is why it was such an easy choice for David to ask to have Brad as his best man when he marries the love of his life Kara.

Jorey Stine

Jorey is Kara's best friend and sister she never had. What's great about their friendship is, most of the best memories they have are filled with simple things such as wine nights at home while the other cleans their house or does laundry, going to both of their kids sporting or school events, family dinners, simple day trips, birthdays and more. They both are involved with the others children and Jorey has played a big part in helping Kara get her foundation off the ground. They have a great time together no matter what. But with good comes the bad and Jorey has seen her through hard times over the years which after all of that, she now has played a supporting role as David and Kara's relationship has blossomed. Jorey even helped plan and take photos of their engagement.

Rylan is Kara's maid of honors son. We couldn't have our wedding without this guy being apart of it. Kara's girls and Rylan spend a lot of time together. Rylan is an awesome kid and we look forward to having him by our side on our big day!

Though she and Kara knew eachother prior to David and Kara dating, Heidi says that she lucked out with his choice for his wife. She says, "It feels like she's always been part of the family! We couldn't be happier for the two of them."

Noah Whitney

David and Noah met in 1998 when David joined the Griffin Fire Department. Having similar likes David and Noah soon became great friends. The friendship quickly turned into more and David became "Uncle Dave" to Noah's daughter Kianna and then Cody.. David and Noah have enjoyed many times out in the woods, hunting, hiking, camping and fishing. David says the wedding would just not be right without having Noah standing there by his side when he marries his best friend!

Kara met Larissa at a friends birthday party where the two became fast friends. Kara says that Larissa is the kind of person who would go to great lengths for her friends. Larissa's daughter had epilepsy, through which she became active with the Kara Lynn Foundation, where she now serves as the Treasurer which will grow into her career.

Don Seip

David and Don have been friends for only a few years. The friendship started when he was invited to elk camp by another mutual buddy. Since then then friendship grew and at one point David and Don were roommates before Don retired from the Army and moved back to his home in Colorado. David and Don have spent many days fishing local streams, rivers and lakes as well as the occasional trip out in the ocean to fish, as well as many hunting trips.

Katie and Kara met when they were six years old. They developed a strong friendship, making them lifelong friends. Though Katie lives in a different state, she and Kara do their best to see eachother twice a year.

Liz and Kara met in high school, where Liz would play chauffuer for Kara who didn't have a car. The two connected again as adults, mothers, and true friends as they always reconnect where they left off. Interestingly, Liz is married to David's cousin, Curt.
