𝐘𝐄𝐒. The dress code is **𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐢-𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞** The entire wedding will be outdoors in the central garden, it will likely be HOT! Ideas: Guys: White button up with khaki pants Ladies: Any elegant sundresses, maxi, or cocktail dresses! Shoes: The wedding is in the grass, I recommend shoes where your heels won’t sink!
Due to limited space, we can only accommodate the guests who are formally invited on your wedding invitation. However, we understand this may also be a vacation for you too. If you wish to bring someone who is okay with not participating in wedding events, that's perfectly fine with us! Just ensure they understand they won't be able to join the wedding activities. Thank you for your understanding!
We do not recommend it for a few reasons. First, if you stay offsite, you'll need to pay a $100 USD per person fee to access our resort on the wedding day. Second, we have events planned at DreamsPM the day before the wedding that we’d love for you to join. Lastly, staying at the same resort allows us all to spend more time together!
According to my web search: In Playa Mujeres, mid May you can expect warm and humid weather. Daytime temperatures will typically range from 85°F to 90°F, with nighttime temperatures around 75°F to 80°F. The weather will be mostly sunny with some chances of scattered showers or thunderstorms, which are common in May. Humidity levels will be relatively high, making it feel warmer than the actual temperature. If everyone could: Please say a prayer for my wedding day hair and makeup lol
The ceremony and the reception will both take place at the Central Garden at Dreams Playa Mujeres! The entire wedding event is outdoors.
It does not cost you anything to book through Taylor! She is amazing to work with and she will help answer any questions you have and help you get everything booked correctly. She is a pro and has been fantastic to work with :)
Yes, you will need a passport to attend our wedding. Please don't wait too long to apply or renew, as processing times are currently longer than usual. also note that if your passport expires within 6 months of May 2025– you will not be able to get through customs! So if it’s expiring, please be sure to get it updated before.
We adore children and cherish their presence in our lives. While we are thrilled to have some children attending or participating in our wedding, due to logistical constraints, we regretfully cannot accommodate all children at the ceremony and reception. However, we want to assure you that the resort is a family-friendly environment, and children are more than welcome to join their families there. We understand that childcare arrangements may be a challenge for some of our guests. Some attendees have opted to bring additional family members or babysitters to assist with childcare during the wedding events. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding in making arrangements that best suit your family's needs.
We will be staying May 11 (Sunday) - May 21 (Wednesday), you are welcome to join any of the days that works best for you.
THURSDAY 5/15: Welcome Party FRIDAY 5/16: Wedding Day SATURDAY: Pool Party! We’d love for everyone to come hang out at the pool whenever you’re ready to put your party pants back on ;) or just come hang out and relax with everyone!
Please bring extra cash to tip for drinks and when you’re eating at the restaurants! This is an all inclusive resort but it is still standard to tip the workers for their service. How much you want to bring is really up to you, but according to reviews the service is great at Dreams PM. We recommend bringing small bills $1, $5, and $10 (shuttle driver, bell hop, servers, bartenders, housekeeping, room service). In my experience they usually don’t have US dollars to give you change back, so smaller bills avoids this problem!
Many do. Yes! Just be aware of this when you’re going to eat, there is nothing worse than getting ready to sit down for dinner and they tell you there is a dress code and you have to go change before they will seat you. Each restaurant lists the dress code on the website: https://www.hyattinclusivecollection.com/en/resorts-hotels/dreams/mexico/playa-mujeres-golf-spa-resort/dining-drinks/ *For 𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 most restaurants require a “𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞” dress code which is: Sneakers/tennis shoes or dress sandals, 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐬. 𝐍𝐨 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐩-𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐬. 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐧 ‼️ DAD!!! (Matt Serra) Please make note of this 😅
• I recommend bringing a tumbler cup (like a Yeti mug) for pool days to keep your drinks cold so frozen drinks or ice don’t melt super fast! • If you prefer using a straw in your drink, be sure to bring your own! I find it essential for enjoying frozen drinks 🍹 • Bring lots of sunscreen, buying sunscreen in Mexico is expensive…bug spray might not be a terrible idea either! • We always bring a small speaker with us to use while getting ready or at the beach • Beach Bag: A lightweight beach bag can be handy for carrying essentials to the pool or beach
