Cucci's Pizzeria
Just a quick drive (less than 5 minutes) up the road from the Hampton Inn. A local favorite for dinner. We highly recommend the hamburger!
General Lewis Inn
Absolute hands down our favorite place for breakfast and dinner. Located in Lewisburg, West Virginia (30-40 minute drive from Covington and Clifton Forge, respectively), it is absolutely beautiful. On Saturday you can also order off their brunch menu. We recommend starting your Saturday morning here then checking out the adorable downtown before heading back to get ready for our wedding.
The Way
The Way is located on Main Street in Clifton Forge and is the only local coffee shop for at least 30 minutes in either direction.
Family Tree T's Cafe
Just a 10 minute drive from the Hampton Inn is Family Tree T's Cafe. Open from breakfast to dinner this is a new local restaurant we are so happy to see thrive in our area.
Jack Mason's Tavern and Brewery
Right in the heart of Clifton Forge (and less than 15 minutes from Hampton Inn) is Jack Mason's Tavern and Brewery. This no frills Tavern is a place we have eaten often for a quick bite.
Michael's
Another local pizza and sandwich shop a little further into town (about 10 minutes from Hampton Inn). We recommend the roasted turkey sandwich - they roast their turkeys daily!
Cat & Owl Steak & Seafood
This restaurant has been around for over 45 years but still somehow remains hidden in our small town but only a 10 minute drive from Hampton Inn. It definitely reminds you of dining in the 80's.
The Rail Bar & Grille
This is our local (and only) watering hole. On a Friday night you never know what will be happening. One of the few places open until 11pm. Food isn't the best, proceed with caution.
The Humble Tomato
Located in Lewisburg, West Virginia (30-40 minutes from Covington and Clifton Forge, respectfully) this is the best place around if you're craving pasta.
Stardust Cafe
Stardust Café is one of the nicest restaurants for dinner in Lewisburg. If you would like to have dinner here on Friday night we highly recommend making reservations.
