FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to our wedding planner, Malia, at info@thegayagenda.co.
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

What’s the dress code? Our dress code is cocktail attire, perfectly suited to our wedding’s romantic, glam, sultry, and jazzy vibes. Think elevated evening looks, rich textures, and outfits that glow under soft lighting. Feel free to lean into luxe fabrics, sleek silhouettes, and a touch of sparkle—just the right mix of classy and celebratory.

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

Hawai‘i is usually warm and sunny, with a chance of light trade‑wind breezes. We recommend sunscreen, shades, and a light layer for the evening. Our wedding venue is located in Kāneʻohe. This location on the island is known for rain and cooler temperatures.

Question

Will the ceremony be outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be located on the ninth tee outdoor. Only in the event of poor weather conditions will we change to an indoor location on the property. A text/email message will be sent out ahead of time if the location for the ceremony changes. The reception will be held in the Grand Ballroom.

Question

Can I bring a plus‑one?

Answer

We’d love to celebrate with all your favorite people, but space is limited. If your invitation says “and guest,” then you’re all set!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We adore your little ones, but this is an adults‑only celebration.

Question

Will transportation be provided for guests?

Answer

We won’t be providing transportation to the venue, but the good news is that there’s plenty of parking on-site and the venue is only about 31 minutes away. You’ll have lots of flexibility to choose the option that works best for you. Here are some easy ways to get there: Drive Yourself: The simplest option—there’s ample parking, and you can arrive on your own schedule. Carpool: Perfect if you're staying near family or friends and want to arrive together. Ride‑Share (Uber/Lyft): Great if you prefer not to drive; just allow a little extra time for pickup depending on traffic. Taxi Services: A reliable backup if apps are busy. Rental Car: Ideal for guests staying on the island longer or exploring during the trip. No matter which option you choose, we can’t wait to see you there and celebrate together!

Question

Can I post photos on social media?

Answer

We’re doing an unplugged ceremony so we can all be present. Snap away at the reception! We will have plenty of photo ops available throughout the night, including a Photo Booth.

Question

What should we do in the area?

Answer

Hike, beach, eat, repeat! Check out some of our favorite spots—Lanikai Beach, Makapuʻu Lighthouse Trail, and more—which we’ve shared on the site.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive 15–20 minutes early to settle in before the ceremony begins.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence truly is the greatest gift. We know many of you are traveling from near and far to celebrate with us, and we feel so grateful just to have you there. For those who have asked, we’ve created a honeymoon fund to help us make unforgettable memories as newlyweds. There is absolutely no expectation—your love, support, and the joy of celebrating together mean the world to us.
