Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

While we love kids (especially yours), our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

In terms of transportation, what’s the best way to get around the city?

Answer

Our venue + hotel recommendations are located outside of the Loop, which means that our out-of-town guests won’t run into some of the traffic or parking issues that would come with being downtown. So, if you are driving into town for our big day, we recommend either parking at the hotel you’ve chosen (particularly if you’re doing additional sightseeing while you’re here and thus staying downtown instead), or in one of the free parking areas we’ve designated within the “travel” tab if you’re staying in one of the West Loop hotel options. From there, we recommend using Uber, Lyft, or a local taxi service to get to and from Salvage One.

Where will the ceremony and reception be taking place?

Answer

Our cocktail hour, ceremony, and reception will all take place indoors at Salvage One, and there will also be a coat rack if you’d like to throw on a coat/jacket for your Uber rides. There’s also a patio attached to our venue, in case you want to step out for a photo + need to cool off in the middle of getting down on the dance floor.

What’s the deal with this pre-ceremony cocktail hour?

Answer

When thinking about this day and what matters most to us, we ultimately want to focus on getting as much time with all of you as possible – we want to dive right into sharing our happiness and excitement with our friends and family, and changing up the structure a bit felt like one of the most fitting ways for us to do that.

Answer

The cocktail hour begins at 5 pm, so come at that time and grab a drink upon arrival to start celebrating with us.

I know you mentioned Uber and Lyft as transportation options, but I’d prefer to drive. Where should I park?

Answer

There is some street parking available near the venue.
