It was the end of 2015 and Lorne and Brooke met through their mutual love and support of the plant-based lifestyle. Brooke was running a vegan Facebook group and Lorne joined to try and grow his music fan base. Boy did that backfire. But not for the two love birds. After becoming "Facebook Friends" in 2015 they began liking and commenting on each other's posts as the next year unfolded. In August of 2016 Lorne posted his excitement for an upcoming trip back to Denver for a Pretty Lights concert at Red Rocks (as he was currently living in Arizona). Brooke saw that post and jumped on the opportunity to ask him if he would like to grab a drink and meet when he was in town. He answered YES. When he came into town they met for beers at one of Brooke’s favorite local vegan spots. After that night Lorne and Brooke hit it off so he extended his stay for a week and the rest is history. They dated long distance for a year until Lorne moved back home to Denver in September of 2017. They moved into a fun skyrise in Downtown Denver and began their lives together.

Fast forward to the year 2020. While the pandemic was in full swing, and the world was full of uncertainty one thing was for sure, their bond had grown stronger than ever before. Lorne decided to take Brooke up to Aspen for her birthday in October. On the rooftop pool at Aspen’s W Hotel, during sunrise in the chilly autumn air, Lorne decided without another soul in sight, this was going to be just right. He popped the question with a one-liner from one of Brooke’s favorite childhood movies, Casper and he said to her as he opened the ring box, “Can I Keep You”. She cried, he was grinning ear to ear and they proceeded to celebrate the weekend with lots of cheers. Now they are excited to have you join them in a celebration of their love!
