Maid of Excellence
Katie and Brooke have been best friends with each other since Katie's mom forced her to go to Brooke's Halloween party in the 4th grade. Since the two bonded over automatic skeleton door decor and an obsession with the Sims 2, they've been inseparable. Katie has been like a second sister to Brooke for over a decade and the two can barely handle being away from each other for more than a week.
Maid of Honor
Emma and Brooke had a friendship crush on each other for like 3 solid years at Penn State before the two decided to actually talk to each other. Since facetiming almost weekly during the 2020 Pandemic, Brooke and Emma stated to realize that they are actually just the same person. Brooke and Emma text almost daily about romance novels, lululemon, Taylor Swift, and our obsession with our cats.
Sister of the Bride
Kayla has been Brooke's sister for her entire life - exhausting! Somehow she puts up with Brooke constantly ghosting her, only to follow up weeks later with a completely unrelated text. Kayla has been a constant source of advice (that Brooke ignores 50% of the time), has had way too much trust in Brooke's dumb ideas (like skipping class to see a concert and drive for like a million hours, sorry mom) and has been there for Brooke since day 1.
Bridesmaid
Maddie and Brooke met in the 6th grade when on the first day of school their English teacher said "okay, time for you to pick a partner to work with". The two made immediate eye contact, saw each other as nonthreatening, and did the classic "point to the person and mouth 'you' while pointing at them" middle school partner-picking move. Ever since Maddie has been Brooke's go to for books and baked good recommendations, and the two are friends for life.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Brooke were sworn mortal 4th grade enemies that couldn't help but become best friends. Brooke is forever glad that Sarah decided that Brooke was not, in fact, evil and decided to bless Brooke with her friendship. Brooke and Sarah have often joked that they are opposites, and that is something that Brooke admires the most about her. Sarah counters Brooke's impulsivity with calm, rational thinking. Sarah thinks thoughtfully about everything that she does, and that deep consideration has always given Brooke a safe space to land.
Bridesmaid
Tori and Brooke were college freshman year, randomly assigned, roommates who didn't decide to become friends until halfway through their freshman year. Two introverts who would rather watch netflix alone in bed than talk to another human, it took months of sleeping three feet away from each other in the Hastings Hall cubicle of a dorm room for these two to realize that they both had an obsession with television and pizza from the Big Onion (rip). Since then, Tori and Brooke have become inseparable.
Bridesmaid
Sarah is the extrovert that looked at Brooke on the first day of freshman year and decided "she's gonna be my friend now". Brooke and Sarah both had their first ever college class, a drawing course, together. As soon as Sarah came in, she sat next to Brooke and immediately started showing Brooke all of her drawings. Since then, the two call each other their "Day 1's". Brooke admires the endless depth of Sarah's kindness and consideration for others. Sarah would go to any length for her loved ones, and Brooke is so happy that Sarah will be with her on her wedding day.
Junior Bridesmaid
Brooke considers herself the luckiest person in the world because she has gotten to know Nina for her entire life. Brooke remembers holding Nina when she was a baby and thinking "yup, I love this kid". Brooke can't believe that the baby she was holding is already 16, and that she's grown into a sharp, clever, hilarious, thoughtful, kind human being. Brooke truly believes that the world has no idea what's coming to it, because Nina is only two years from being an adult (side note: WHAT), and she is going to dive in to making a difference in whatever she chooses to do.
